Excellent way to start a clean slate - new manager , new start.

It's great to see everyone giving the whole squad a chance.

Rodgers hasn't got a prayer with our fan base - fuc.k all paitence and all think they know better

Feck all patience? Nothing to do with patience here... I've seen Carroll for 18 months. Yes he started playing well end of last season for 3-4 games. But I've seen enough to know that at the most, he will only be as good as Crouch...

Only as good as Crouch ?

That's ok then - we got into the top 4 every season Crouch played. That goes against your earlier opinion.

Like i said clean slate and new manager , new start and that includes players.

18 months is a long time isn't it - Fake Ronaldo spent 3 years flattering to decieve - Liverpool "fans" would of had him sold within a year

By the way this is what Rodgers said about Carroll - already showing more class that some of our "fans"

Brendan Rodgers was praiseful of Andy Carroll as he believes the striker is hitting form and confidence at last following his move
“I thought Liverpool were excellent in midweek and Andy Carroll was really impressive,” said Rodgers in today's Wales on Sunday.
“It shows it’s a totally different pressure when you play for a big club like Liverpool. You are expected to win every single game and it was new for him.
“The adaptation takes time and forget about the football, it was a life change.
“He was bought for the long term. He didn’t put the price tag on his head. He’s a young kid who I have seen come through the England ranks. It was always going to take time.
“But we are starting to see the first real performances that you think he can go on and become a really fantastic player for Liverpool.
“He looked lean, mobile and great in his physicality the other night and his touch was good.
“He got a boost from his cameo in the FA Cup final and he’ll be coming here to do well.
“I don’t think Kenny’s been a failure. He’s got them to two cup finals, winning one and going close in the other one.
“Liverpool is an incredible club with history of winning leagues and European Cups, but the reality is they are trying to build back towards that.
“The Liverpool supporters and public probably see no better man to do it. He’s had a history of success at the club, both as a player and manager. He has the ultimate respect.
“He has a brilliant coach in Steve Clarke, who I know well and speak regularly to so he has a strong team behind him. It just takes time.”

Wrote him off ?

I think you need to go and read back and see what I was actually saying once again. The new manager needs at least two seasons to even start to improve things but our "fan"base wont give him that.

I can guarentee you that it will be people like you who will be first on Rodgers back if things don't go smoothly.

i think it's YOU who needs to check their bull$hit comments

here's the link, where you CLEARLY AGREE with another poster who claims we're f**ked and doomed to mid table medicroty with Rodgers in charge.

And as i explained it was a gut reaction to his appointment and already stated he is starting to change my mind.

You can act all billy ***** now pal but let's see how long your support last when you consider back in October you wanted Kenny gone " 4 months into a new season"

It will be "Chelsea generation fans" like you that will be the first to demand changes when we drop a few points and have a few struggles. You won't last one season before demanding "another new manager". You drew your line in the sand last season.

I have worries and concerns about our new manager, if you want to call that writing him off away you go children but I know who will be the sort to be calling for him to be sacked first - the same people who were calling for Kenny to be sacked after 4 months into a new season, the same people who celebrated him being sacked.

A few of us were discussing the current fanbase and how we haven't been "The Best Supporters in the World " for a long time because some don't know what the word support means.

Kewell is a prime example of that and will no doubt be at the front of the queue asking for Rodgers to be sacked when it doesn't go smoothly to start with - he has shown his form and colours last season.

So what's the difference between slating some of our existing players like Cole and Aquilani, and expressing -- to use your own words -- your "extreme disappointment" with the appointment of Rodgers and a belief that we are now "phucked" and headed for mediocrity, with what Magus said about Carroll i.e. that we need better?

Obviously in the latter's case, he isn't writing him off as such. Your view of Rodgers, Cole and Aquilani on the other hand amounted to just that.

Don't mind if that's how you feelk about the manager and certain players, but to then go and accuse others of not backing the manager, not giving players a chance etc.. is the height of hypocrisy.
