His Wiki page says he was born in Fray Bentos. This man was clearly destined to play for us.

TBH For 20Mil id snap his hand of. Skrtel is never worth that much. Whilst he had an ok season he is at times a liability.

Tempting, but Skrtel was our best defender last season and formed a strong partnership alongside Agger. That was one of the few positives to take from an otherwise disappointing season. With all the other areas of the squad that still need strengthening we're in no strong position to be tinkering if we don't have to.

Boudebouz - Liverpool want me

Sochaux midfielder Ryad Boudebouz has revealed that Liverpool are one of the clubs chasing his signature.

The highly-rated Ligue 1 winger has told reporters he has attracted interest from the Merseysiders as well as a host of French clubs understood to be Lyon, Lille and Marseille.

The 22-year-old was part of Algeria's 3-0 win over Niger in Saturday's friendly and after the game Boudebouz revealed that his agent has been in discussions with clubs across Europe over a potential summer switch.

"Certainly, my agent is in talks with some clubs, particularly in France, but there is still nothing concrete," he said.

"There is also Liverpool, who have initiated discussions with my agent, but at the risk of repeating myself, everything is in the discussion stage, no more."

I suppose so. Maybe she'll make a few nice signings, but the floors and linens will look terrible.  :p

Brendan Rodgers is set to raid Swansea for three of his former players after he is unveiled as Liverpool's new manager - forward Scott Sinclair, 23, midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson, 22, and defender Ashley Williams, 27. Sigurdsson was set to join the Swans after a successful loan spell but has not completed his move yet.

Full story: Daily Mirror

Swansea midfielder Joe Allen, 22, is also being lined up for a move to Anfield - although the youngster, who came through the ranks at the Welsh club, has three years left on his contract and would cost Liverpool £10m.

Doubt that.
Huw Jenkins has said as part of the compensation package we cannot buy any Swansea player for 12 months

Like the above post says, we can't buy their players. Except for maybe Sigursson because he isn't a Swansea player yet. Why would we want those guys anyway? I mean, they're OK, but we already have OK players, no need to get more of them unless we're happy with 8th in the league. Especially Ashley Williams, why on earth would we want him?
