I hope Its Dalglish's name that will be resonating around Anfield come the first game ..... that's a given mate .

Hello mate long time since ive been on here,Iremember you as a similar age to me.We were lucky enough to have seen Kenny play, and in the words of the song, Could he play. This is our football club and much as it grieves me to say it the decision had to be taken for the good of the club. Some might argue it was a financial decision ie.no champions league loss of income.I look at it from a purley football point of view. This football club can not be allowed to deteriorate any futher than it has done.Unfortunately the days of the boot room etc are well behind us,We need to move on.When Fenway took over they stated they wanted to put this club back were we belong. They put Kenny in charge and he hasnt been able to make progress in fact we slipped further behind our rivals,If it had been anyone else the fans would have been screaming for his head, thats why i believe its time to ring the changes.
The supporters of this club owe Kenny Dalglish a huge debt of grattitude for the pleasure he has brought us in the past, and the way he and his family have supported the friends and relatives of the 96.Kenny will always be thought of wih great affection and admiration for his football skills and loyalty to the club its players and its fans. Now lets just hope those calling the shots dont rush in to anything head first and make an appointment we all live to regret.

Gary Mac and Collymore are both on TalkSh*te at the moment. Collymore aint too enamored with Martinez either. Mac is being , as always, diplomatic.

liverpool fans have seen this movie before under hodgson and they didnt like the ending.
he`s managed swansea in the championship and kept wigan up a couple of times, the biggest club he`s ever managed is wigan, he hasnt won anything, not even a johnsons f**king paint trophy and now he`s in charge of the most successfull club in the history of english football.

If he is hired he will have more money to spend than hodgson did so you cant really compare them.
He isnt exactly my top choice and its a huge gamble to hire someone like him, but lets try to avoid the doom and gloom before he has even been interviewed.

Its so much easier to disparage a manager rather than praise him ,some of the beauts on this forum made that crystal clear .
I may yet follow suit when we lose Suarez ,Reina ,Agger ,Skrtel and Lucas ,depends how impatient I feel  :oh:

It's funny to read people posting with comments like  " Martinez wasn't in my top 5 short list" who did you have then, I bet it was unrealistic with names like Mourinho, Guardiola etc. Meaning we are not that top tier club no more which means we can either go for a safe option like a Capello who would cost a fortune who would play boring safe easy football or take a punt on an emerging manager who we could reap the rewards from.

Straight on to Sky soon as hes put phone down on Henry.

No doubt trying to sabotage the lads chance of moving on
by stirring up a shitstorm of a backlash from our fans so
Fenway scrub him off the list before hes had chance to
have his interview.

Poor really from Whelan and I would be livid if I was
Martinez.

the thing is that he shouldnt even be considered for an interview.
what has he done to deserve this and dont say he plays good football cos if he did he wouldnt have spent his entire time at wigan fighting relegation.
i dont agree with the influence former players carry within the club especially the likes of whelan and lawrenson but i hope he told henry to fooking get real and check himself.
if martinez wants a move then he should take the villa job, they appointed a great young manager last year against the fans wishes and not to forget that he got his current club at the time relegated, but he was a good manager and was just unlucky that he never had a big job.well he got the job and a year later where is he now? and more importantly where is villa?.
if martinez gets the job then we will be back here in a years time,in the same position but this time the fans will get the blame for him failing when the truth is that he is never good enough in the first place.

Jurgen Klopp for me

Welcome back fella ....but I strongly disagree mate ..The Liverpool I remember has always thrived on the strong bond and close relationship with
their fans, and equally strong ideals ,but now those traits that made us unique have all but dissipated with the subsequent betrayal of the fans by
the owners .....I believe we're virtually dead in the water mate ,just another club that will make up the numbers.

The owners aren't right ,they never were, they were just really good at hiding mate ...   :(
