looks like they'll interview all of them, which sounds a great idea.  :nod

i suppose if we are struggling he can always phone him up for advice, i expect suarez to be gone soon after ferguson has a word with martinez.

So what if he attends LMA meetings along with most other managers? He actually publically supported Rafa during his spat with Fergie.

then backtracked and apologised and then ended up a bevvying partner of allardyce, reid, moyes, bruce and ferguson.
nah, not for me.

would Rafa be able to work the FSG's model?  There's no way in hell he would have the power he had before and would have to work with a new DOF

I'd love to see him back, but It might divide the fans again.

I didnt think FSG would even consider him tbh. I thought they wanted their own man, and not someone with a history with the club.

Ahh, but they also like Moneyball and there's no bigger stato than Rafa.  He's their man.  :;):

Might be a bit easier for Rafa if the DOF is indeed spanish and was DOF at Barca from 2003-2010  :D

You have to give a lot of credit to Martinez, he's been in charge of Wigan for nearly three years, has had virtually no transfer funds available to sign players and yet he's kept them up every season, no questions asked. He is also one of the few managers at the foot end of the table that tries to adopt a positive approach to matches, as opposed to teams like QPR who like to park the proverbial bus infront of goal.

He's not my first choice of manager, but if he is appointed then I can see no reason why he cannot be a successful manager for us, the only question is will he be afforded the same amount of investment as Kenny? Will he be given one season to show real signs of progress?
