Not entirely a disaster... every time I heard the guy's name I thought of Dick Emery.

If the £50m included wages, that means we have enough for one £20 plus signing.
The player sales issue is key...always was

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

Rumour of the last two days: Benitez returning to replace Dalglish. Even journos are acknowledging it.

I've seen no credible source for that, and it just sounds so rubbish to begin with. Where've you seen this?

A friend of mine texted me on Thursday afternoon to say he'd heard this from someone that is rarely wrong when it comes to breaking stories in Liverpool (yeah I know, how many times have you heard that on here lol) but by close of play last night it had been mentioned on Talk Sport, and Guillem Ballague several times on twitter - though he made a point of stating that he had heard nothing about the story from his end, only hearing rumours like the rest of us.

For what its worth I thought it was alot of nonsense. Right up there with the "Thierry Henry to sign for Liverpool in the next 24hrs" horsesh*t that was flying around a couple of seasons back!!

He's right it is a bad decision. I still think Rafa will take over from Kenny.

I have no proof but he is the bookies favourite to take over and they always know a thing or two. Other than that it's just a gut feeling really and a hope.  :)

I havnt seen any tweets from Ballague stating that. He's only retweeted various comments that he has been sent by various followers.

No. Bookies business is about managing risk.

Odds can be short because of reliable sources of information but mostly they react to money being placed on an event. Often an event can be extremely short odds based on no credible info whatsoever, it can often be driven by popular rumours.
