Torres has scored two in the Premiership this season and one in the Premiership las season. He scored two in the CL against those famous world beaters Genk !!!

Look like a massively improved player against Spurs.Just hope he has saved all the goals for United !!

Was at the game on Monday night and thought Carroll did a great job. Dawson won't have a tougher game this season and I can't remember him beating Carroll in the air. Thought he linked up well with Suarez when he came on. The goals will come for the big lad!!

I still think that this lad will come good. We are still short of a couple of players.... chief among them being a proper right midfielder/winger..... If we get that in the near future, he could well become the pivot/focal point of a deadly attack.

If suarez can learn to play off him we'll do well. Gives us the option of playing it on the ground through a cultured midfield (Henderson will eventually morph into a very, very handy player methinks) as well as a more direct approach down the wings as dictated by needs during the game.

It is still the early and KK is building from the back.

Another good right back/wingback/midfielder is required and another poacher to supplement Suarez and Carroll. I don't believe that we're as far off or as many short as some people seem to think. When Lucas comes back, the midfield should look a lot more settled (how we've missed him). Downing is ok and hopefully with a more settled midfield heart, he'll be able to concentrate more on his wingplay..... but I'm not entirely convinced... so maybe a left winger as well. At most 3 class players and we should be a different kettle of fish next season.

that would mean the team is gonna be built around Carroll. why would you want to build a team around someone so one-dimensional?

Read this (below) and couldn't help but wonder how much money we might of saved if only we'd scouted our "local council" site before we signed Carroll.

Had a car accident recently, turned a corner and back wheels caught on some ice, i was heading towards a parked car and a van so swerved and wrapped the car around a lampost . I was fine, the police are taking no further action as no other vehicle or people were involved but the council have written to me saying they'll invoice me for £1200 for the lampost

:D

Which dimension would that be?

I don't think we looked that one dimensional against Tottenham, it was just more of the same.  We've looked that way all season our inability to create and score does not have that much to do with who we play up top it's more to do with our lack of aggression by our midfielders and our wingers.  They aren't looking to score goals that often right now that's why someone like Maxi comes in and scores often, he puts himself in positions where the goals will come if you are consistently there.  Downing is hardly ever, ever ever ever in the box same goes for Adam, Henderson and even Gerrard but he's just back I expect him to get better and better still.  That's why Glen is so important to the side and why Enrique for me still isn't at Glen's level.  Anyway the point is Andy isn't to blame for the lack of goals or creativity we have in the side.  When we were playing Luis every night we still looked incapable of scoring it's a much deeper problem.  The mentality of the players isn't where it should be right now, we're still a work in progress though I have faith that Kenny will keep on moving us in the right direction.

benched again.

it seems obvious to me that the way we want to set up it's one of carroll or suarez, not both. they're very different players but they both want to lead the line.

I think there's games we can play them together mate, but not this one.

United outnumbered and dominated us in midfield at Anfield when the Carragher holding midfielder experiment clearly failed.  We had to go into this one with three central midfielders, especially away from home, even though personally I'd have Adam as one of them.

I think with some of our signings it's safe to say they have well and truley flopped - Downing and to some extent Henderson. But I think we need to give Carrol more time. It's easy to be critical of him but what service has he had all season? Fk all.

Carroll and Bellamy are both extremely ineffective as subs.  They need to start games to give a real impact.
