I would prefer Kenny to beef up the midfield with more quality. I really think if we get better service to the likes of Carroll then he will start scoring on a regular basis.

What do you mean better service, I'm genuinely confused by people saying this? Carrol has a horrible first touch on him, doesn't try to win the ball back and is by far the worst striker ever to pull on the Liverpool jersey.

Quick, someone knock up a youtube video of all his best bits and send it off to Pep to convince him.
Will 30seconds footage be enough?
we could just fake a video and send it to their owners

By far the worst striker to pull on a Liverpool jersey?
How many days have you been a fan for?

Obviously another option would be Tottenham especially if Modric leaves (plays further forward but I'm sure they'll take him over Van Der Vaart) but looking at all those sides, I think realistically it could very well come down to us or Arsenal. He doesnt exactly fit ManUtd's style of play given their personnel and Chelsea have Mata and Lampard who both play a similar role. Arsenal can do with someone supporting RVP from deep and we could obviously fit him in our side with Gerrard playing his (and Kenny seems to agree) preferred deeper role.
Big shout and probably not going to happen but he is exactly the sort of player we should b going after.
