The minority of our fans who are not as critical of Carroll as the rest of us (and everyone outside the club), are so for two reasons:
1.Kenny signed him. Hes Kenny's player, so mocking Carroll is mocking Kenny to a degree.
2.Hes a Liverpool player. The "while hes our player i will support him" philosophy.
If Roy Hodgson had signed Carroll, the geordie would be on the receiving end of some serious abuse. There wouldnt be the "oh Kenny signed him therefore he must have something about him". Andy Carroll is a poor player, not worth more than 12-15m, is suited to a team that plays an uncultured direct game that doesnt expose his well documented limitations on the floor. We have already wasted approx 20m on him (the loss we will make on the transfer), we are now wasting valuable time persisting with him.

Dalglish has made the mother of all fu'ck ups here, no matter who tries to seperate him from blame or responsibility. He has spent our biggest transfer fee on our worst ever player and there can only be one conclusion for this disgraceful fiasco:
Both of them should fu'ck off and never darken our door again
Even the best managers make the biggest mistakes. We can all think of players signed by other managers that haven't, ultimately, prevented their clubs from being successful. Kenny should be judged in the same way -- by his transfer record as a whole and his ability to mould a winning team, not by single instances.
I'd say it's testament to his managerial abilities that we're still in the hunt for fourth and only a game away from Wembley despite the failings of the likes of Carroll.
Nice try mate but this is not a mistake, its a catastrophe.
Name me another clueless, inexperienced, useless, talentless, unproven carthorse who has had so much money paid for him?
It looks like KK has embarrassed himself and disgraced the good name of LFC with this bizarre and unbelievable signing.
What did he see that made him stake his, and our, reputation on this freak? Surely he must have watched Carroll before spending £35 million on him? Did he really think he could make a silk purse out of a sows ear? KK has split the fans worse than Rafa and Roy and its time for him to go if this is the best he can do.

I'm sorry but that's total BS...
Whenever Kenny gave him full games, he turns in a lacklustre display, it is Carroll and Carroll alone which makes it hard for Kenny.
And that thing about quality balls... it is the centre forward as much as the crosser who make crosses become quality. Carroll's positioning is abysmal. His anticipation is as slow as my grandmother's. Kuyt is so much better at anticipation than Carroll...
It is time to stop making excuses for Carroll, call a spade a spade... he is a very limited footballer who is only good for a midtable premier league club... and Kenny made an error in judgement... it happens, no big deal (except for the 35 million going down the drain), move on and get a better centre forward...

He hasnt had a consistent 10 game+ run in the team, fact.
Sometimes it is painful to watch a player mis-timing and mis-firing or just plain missing. But it happens. Its happened before and it will happen again. Its part of football. Get over it.
To use Kuyt as an example is laughable. His first touch is disgraceful and he has very little technical ability but has quite rightly been given time and support.
As far as it being no big deal. Really? All the screaming about him being sh'ite and possibly the worst player to wear a red shirt, and of course the "£35 million!" albatross around his neck. People need to make their mind up wether its important or not because what I can see is people enraged with KK on one hand then playing his biggest fu'ck up down on the other.

I'm sorry but this has to go down as the worst transfer of all time. The guy simply can't play football.
