Absolutely rubbish the entire game, did absolutely nothing offensively or defensively, useless player.  At least watch the match without being blinded by his price.

nothing special in the vid mate :D

decent passes but wasn't impressive at all, still early days though

Question: Is he being groomed to replace Gerrard.. under his stewardship? Gerrard won't go on for eva..

I'm not gonna consign him to the 'tip' just yet.. 2 games and..

I think what that video shows is how comfortable on the ball Henderson is. Lots of very neat touches, even when surrounded by Arsenal players.

I dont think he'll ever become anywhere near as good as Gerrard was/is.

That said, he might improve and become a decent player in the middle of the park or a decent backup for a title challenging side..

Not good enough for now though, and certainly far from being able to dominate a game or transform the look of the side. Debatable whether he ever will be, but to suggest he should be started just because we might consider him to be good enough in the future is a ridiculous notion imo..

He is very young and new to the club, and should not have been thrown in to start the games, faux pas by Kenny. The new players, particularly the young ones should be eased in, for example coming on in the second half if we have a good lead, or playing against Exeter.

He's just arrived a massive club and doesn't have many mates here, he'll need time, just to feel part of the place and feel worthy of his place. Contrast him with Downing, older, knows a lot of the players already and is comfortable in the premiership. Henderson will do well, IMHO he is just not ready yet.

In normal circumstances I would agree with that but with Gerrard out, Meireles injured over the preseason and the first game of the season against his old club I'd bet that Kenny planned on giving him a run of games early on. I'd imagine his starting spot will  go to Meireles soon but unfortunately this will be seen as confirmation that he can't cut it...

I find it absolutely unbelievable that Kenny invested heavily (by the tune of £16 million) on a soon to be classy midfielder and yet there are people on here who are so clued up about football that their thoughts on a player are more important than the King of the kop.
I'm sorry but this is ridiculous. Two games in and people are saying he can't cut it  :D  WTF? Kenny and the board talking rubbish? Gambling £16 million on a player who aint good enough?  You couldn't make it up  :D
Btw, how old are you? I presume you're older and wiser than Kenny?

many big signings have failed in the past.

so even if kenny and the board rates him doesnt mean hes gonna come in and swim, at the moment hes sinking.

takes more than just ability to make it under all the pressure

Can't believe the :censored: spewed out on this forum. So many clueless posters. How can you say Henderson and Carroll won't make it after 2 games. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

People have complained that The 2 nob cowboys didn't understand the "liverpool way", well take a good  look at yourselves

From the 55th minute of the second half I actually spent most of my time wondering was Henderson even on the pitch! He was anonymous. Around the 88th minute I think he got a kick and my eyes bulged. I seriously couldn't believe he was still on, a passenger. He couldn't control the ball, his touch was awful and his delivery was woeful. He nearly started crying when Carroll gave him a bollocking. With that said I'm off to the Andy Carroll thread to give out about that donkey. Slow as a funeral and a terrible attitude.

As an aside, is it me or does it look like he's going to fall forward every time he dribbles with the ball?
