From SportingLife website:

Liverpool midfielder Alberto Aquilani claims he is close to joining Italian giants AC Milan.

Aquilani spent last season back in his homeland with a loan spell at Juventus, before returning to Anfield earlier in the summer.

Aquilani has been continually linked with a move back to his native Italy summer with the former Roma man seemingly not figuring in Kenny Dalglish's plans.

Juventus declined to sign Aquilani on a permanent basis because of his price-tag, while the 27-year-old also came close to joining Fiorentina earlier this summer, but he pulled out of the move as he wanted a permanent transfer rather than a loan deal.

Milan have now expressed an interest in Aquilani as they look to bolster their midfield options after being frustrated in their attempts to land Fiorentina's Riccardo Montolivo

"I am close to joining Milan," Aquilani told Gazzetta dello Sport.

would be good to see us getting rid of the deadwood and players who don't want to be here.

What's happening with Poulsen, anyone know? Heard a while back a few teams were interested

his agent said that he is in search of regular football which we aren't offering and is searching for a new club. hope it turns out well for both parties.

he's getting Benny's number as well going by what I've read, makeweight for Modric?
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

I can't see them signing Mata AND Modric to be honest.

I don't expect Modric to be included tomorrow against the Mancs

Modric will probably go to the mancs if they can't get Sneijder.

To be honest, that's chelsea's plan, Mata AND Modric.

They want to have a winger AND a midfielder, but I think AVB will go for Moutinho as a cheaper option
