Also Silva took a while to bed in but I recall several MOM performances. Also I refrained from putting Lescott in my list before thinking id get shot down as he was a bitter, but when he played for them he was one of the best in the country.

Benny The Noon wrote:Kolorav ?? Lescott ?? De Jong ?? - Wouldnt want them near our club . Kompany would be ok as back up - Agger is better . Toure was ok . Silva was disappointing . Tevez was their stand out - Tevez either scored the winner or goals , or set up the winner in 70% of their games last season . Without him they are fecked - we ripped them apart last time we played them - and we were missing Gerrard .
Even if they replace Tevez with Augero - he isnt going to have the same impact that Tevez did . I would quite happily say that he will join their long list of expensive disappointments when the massively high expectations are not met .
They could well be fantastic individual players abroad - as a team they are disappointing .

that's interesting, I genuinely expect it to be close but even if we did it shows we have a better TEAM than them, they have better individuals on paper imo
We'll finish above everyone![]()

Are we over spending? Are the players we’re signing worth the cash we’re paying?
Personally i think we’re are...maybe it’s our new policy of buying home grown or the fact the other clubs know we’re looking to improve, but we’re defiantly spending more than we should. Don’t get me wrong, i think our new players are improving the squad and we’ll be challenging....I just fear the silly season is descending upon Anfield and we're getting ripped off on a massive level on our transfers
