just read that Cissokho was going to sign for Milan in 2009 but there pulled out of deal because of dental issues suggested that the player could encounter fitness problems somewhere along the line  ???

I don't understand why do you guys rate this cissokho guy highly? I've never seen him play... so I looked up some youtube videos and he just seems ok... he doesn't look like he's better than Johnson playing at LB...

Well, if he only looks OK on Youtube then we'd better be in for him quick. All the dross we've bought down the years looked excellent on Youtube!  :p

You know who blows me away every time I watch him is Maxi Pereira of Uruguay and Benfica... Seriously it would be worth it to play Johnson at LB and get Pereira as our RB.  He's that good.  He's a great defender and he's so quick, he's brilliant at getting up and down the line.  Scores a few goals, gets some assists, he's an amazing player.

If we were looking for a RB, I'd personally fly to Liverpool and stalk the hell out of Kenny until he listened to me :p

Sorry I know it's not a rumor, but just had to put my 2 cents out there.

For what its worth, if you examine world football statistics, Cissokho is easily in the top ten (possibly even top 5) left backs in football today.

The club have said they will sit down and look at the situation now, I honestly cannot see anyone coming in until players are moved out.

When I read Comolli saying that it slightly confused me.  I don't know if he's just wanting to make our dealings a secret or what, but it doesn't quite make sense.

We need a LB

If we are shipping players out before refilling their positions, who could we be shipping out at LB that we then need to refill the position? Aurelio?

If not, then does this mean that the plan is for Robinson to start playing a big role? Or Kelly in moving Johnson to the left? Or even sticking Agger out there?

It seems risky to me.  I'm hoping Comolli is just making noise for the press to react to because we really badly need a new LB.

I can't honestly see anyone buying Aurelio.

Robinson is going to be a top player, the problem is do we wait perhaps another season when he might be ready, they might just be having a look at Insua before deciding.

I honestly think playing Johnson on the left should be as a last resort, personally he should be our first choice at right back.

In all probability they are looking at bringing someone in, but trying to move players out first. Fact is we have paid decent money for 3 players with only Konchesky going out, they will look to balance that out a little before buying anyone else, there s still plenty of time after all.

Take a chill pill dude :D

I really hope we sign him, I rate him and for 10m euros we have to take it.

French press is still convinced he is on his way to Liverpool on monday or tuesday, plus we are looking at a center back in europe, someone young and excellent but we won't hear about until the end of the transfer window, well according to twitter that is :D
