13 mill plus N'Gog? An excellent deal, I hope it goes trough. It would really bother me if we pay the whole 20 mill though.

Cant say i'm particularly excited about this transfer. How many CM "talents" do we really need? 20 mill is way too much.

Dear Clueless

First of all let me congratulate you on reaching your 1096th post in nearly 4 years.
secondly, you'll find Henderson is a right winger (or RM if you choose)
thirdly it would appear to be a good piece of business with Ngog going the other way (value at £7 million) and £13million cash. Thats a wage free up for Henderson to have so no extra mouth to feed on the wage bill and in return we have a good addition to the squad.
Nobody is claiming this lad is gonna set the world alight next season and have Barca/Man.City/Chelsea throwing £200m at us but what we will have is a hard working player who will put in 100% hard graft and play for the cause. if that doesn't excite you then tuff sh!t.

See you again next year for your annual spout

I'm sorry if I have a life outside forums so i'm not as cool as you with 6695 posts. I wish to congratulate you on this massive achievement of having a big number beneath your nick. I'm truly in awe of your talents.

Adding ngog to the deal makes it somewhat better but its not been confirmed. Apparentlu Ngog wants to go to france instead. I'm truly sorry that i'm not excited about getting another "hard worker" for 20 mill.

Hard workers will win you tough games, especially away games. Look how much effect Ji Sung PArk has had this season and also Kuyt for ourselves.

Henderson has be been bought to meet the needs of the league. So much money is wasted on foreigners who just cannot adapt to the constraints of the league. Aquilani?

We have to trust the Kenny, Comolli and the scouting team.  Every transfer is risky just as this one will be.
Im sure everyone thought Morientes, Kewell and Cole were all great signings but look how they turned out..

This kid apparently has lots of potential and you have to spend really big these days to sign players.
We should all be happy that we're at least trying to sign players and spend money.

Rewind the clock by 10 months and we were desperately trying to find funds for Poulsen :D

if it had just been 20mil cash i would have said it was a lot of money, but as we are offloading Ngog i think it works out well for both clubs.

he is a good player and has pace, needs to stay on his feet a big more, he started to go down a bit too much this season and that was unlike him, hope he has a safe u21 with england now.

Throwing big money at young LOCAL players is risky business imo... Its interesting to see Kenny going about it the way he seemingly is. Would have thought bringing in a couple of established players in key positions would have been a priority but that doesnt seem to be the case. If we do bring in Henderson for the reported 20mill or so then I sincerely hope the next piece of big money business we conduct involves an established player who preferably plays in defense rather than add to our midfielders..

Another thing to consider is that Henderson isnt quite your typical wide player.. He's more of a Kuyt than a Nani put it that way.. With players like Suarez and Meireles already seemingly established in he starting 11 it will be interesting to see the philosophy Kenny has in plan for next season..
