I tend to agree with Henry Winter (Telegraph) -

                        Hart

Johnson     Ferdinand     Terry     Cole

              Gerrard     Wilshere

       Walcott     Rooney     Milner

                      Carroll

It has a nice balance to it, especially with no fat Frank in the middle to ruin things. The only change I would make is possibly swap Milner for Ashley Young.

I would drop Ferdinand and Terry and give other players a chance. Ferdinand is always injured and england perform better without him and Terry is just simply over rated.

Kelly will eventually push Johnson out of that side, dare I say I'd just make the change now and have Kelly in there for years to come.

Agree with Fowler_E7 - Walcott simply isn't a 90 minute player imo he's a great impact sub against tired legs

I also don't like Gerrard in the middle of the park, he just doesn't influence things enough from a deep position

Perhaps put Gerrard where Walcott is and put Carrick or Barry where Gerrard is? ??? , swap Milner for Young as well

and we'll more than likely have a better CB pairing than Terry and Ferdinand, but who they are can only been seen if he decides to play different combinations
