He was aware of an offer from Chelsea on Thursday and seeing there was no apparent headway in new signings advised his agent to listen to the terms of a new deal with a view to use it to force transfers on the club. The agent figured he could get a cash deal out of this and faxed the transfer request through to the club even though Torres was never aware of it or agreed to it. He will be back tomorrow to sort this out with the club and has fired his agent.

Thats all Bullsh!t, who ever made it up is just heartbroken like the rest of us.
Torres did not fire his agent, Torres MADE IT CLEAR to the club that he wants to leave, hence the statement yesterday.
shabelle50 wrote:But it is true that he has been in Spain so it seems a bit fishy that the transfer request was sent through to the club with him not here and how did he have talks with Dalglish last night if he wasn't here? I'm not convinced he'll go to Chelsea by monday I think another twist could yet emerge.
