6.5m bid for Adam, got rejected though

We sell Torres today, We could buy Adam for 8, Ashley Young for 15 and Negredo for 15, or maybe loan Benezema. What if we shocked the world and bought Forlan? reuniting the Uruguayan sensation? They wouldn't even have to adjust to each other, just freaken play!

Couldn't agree more

Just wishful thinking. I'm trying to make myself feel better about the situation so that I won't start crying.

I think we could get Adam tho, and if a striker comes with the deal then we may be ok, but would love Young. Maybe pay a couple million more so we can have him now rather than later.

Weren't we planning on going for Young either way? They said we were interested before the window even opened and we haven't done much.

Those plus Suarez would make a huge difference to our squad and season.

Liverpool has reportedly offered £6.5million for Blackpool midfielder Charlie Adam, 13 times what the Seasiders paid for the 25-year-old Scottish international in Aug. 2009.

Despite such a return on investment -- and a transfer request from Adam -- Blackpool manager Ian Holloway and chief executive Karl Oyston have refused to budge on his valuation of well over £10 million, making a deal before Monday's deadline unlikely.

That, understandably, hasn't sat well with Adam -- or his father, Charlie senior.

"Blackpool are such a cheap-skate club," he said, according to Sky Sports.

"I don't even think this is about money. It's because Charlie took them to a tribunal over the bonus they owed him.

"This is their pay-back. They are saying 'you won't make anything out of this, we have got you under contract'.

"Liverpool's offer is 13 times what Blackpool paid for Charles. And they are turning it down? They have been more than compensated for him already.

"Mr Oyston has got to realise it is somebody's life and future that he is dealing with here. I think it is petty. This should be a time for common sense to prevail."

Holloway has suggested that Blackpool must hold on to Adam in order to stay afloat in the relegation battle, but Adam senior disputes such as well.

"Blackpool have been looking at other players. They could do without Charlie."

On the Ashley Young rumours would love to sign him, not my first, second or third choice but would be a big improvement on what we have. Wouldnt have Warnock or Nzogbia near the club to be honest. If we get Ashley Young, Adam and keep Torres ill run naked in the streets. NESV said they have the money and they wont to be the best, nows the chance to prove it. These players wot need time to adjust to the premiership and wont worsen the team even if they need time to fit in with the system because thier far better then what we have. Then in the summer we can really go for it.

I would really love Adam and Young. The three players I really wanted during this window were Adam, Young and Suarez. We got my number one, so if we could even get one of those guys I'd be thrilled.
