If you play for LFC or MUFC(with great respect to every other club),you don't ask to leave them, you let them tell you when it's time to go..

please! that's the fecking pot calling the kettle black! feck off collymore- you shyte out from everything when the going got tough!-don't try & lecture any football player about morals!-you are everything i wouldn't my kids to grow into!

you are a weak, self centered, pathetic, gutless excuss of a footballer-so don't even try to justify your opinion!-let alone mention the 'scum' in the same breth as LFC.

yah official LFC website confirmed transfer request by Torres.
relax people now is the trend to hand in transfer requests.
Gerrard did it, Shrek did it, Tevez did it but they are all happily playing for their clubs now.

if Torres really wants to go at the end of the season then we will sell him off for 75m, but not now at mid season.

Personally I reckon we are jumping to conclusions!

WAIT AND SEE!

the fact that he has asked to leave the club is enough for me.
no conclusions being jumped there.he wants a move end of.
i hope the club plays it cool and gets £50mil+ for him.
i can never accept a player who doesent want to be here.if he stays till the summer i hope he plays well and gives it all for us but behind it all ill be thinking he's a toe rag.
i wouldnt lower myself to wish the lad any badness and i wont lower myself to supporting a player who does not want to play for our club

I know in all your dream worlds you should think a world class striker should be happy plying his trade with a club that finished midtable 2 years in a row. We won't win next season either. So he should just waste at least 3 years of his career cause he should be "loyal".

So narrow-minded. We're right to expect players to go about their business in the right way....the Liverpool Way. If the club isn't fulfilling his ambitions....he should bow out gracefully by requesting a move at the end of the season, and having given the new manager, a club legend, the time to see what he can offer that might change his mind. The signs are looking good so far. Torres is in a privilged position at a very special club, and that he should fully appreciate when deciding his future.

He's had a gob on him since we finished outside the top four at the end of last season. Seemed even then like he wasn't prepared to dig in and fight to get us back up there, loads of mutterings about considering his options if Liverpool didn't match up to his ambitions.

Massively dissapointed that he's looking to join another premiership side but not surprised he's looking to leave. His "sulk" during virtually every game he's played this season told it's own story ie a player who was no longer ars'ed about the shirt he was wearing.

Think the late bid from Chelsea was designed to fend off any potential bidding war, to push LFC into a no-win situation and also show how desperate Chelsea are at the moment...I think the club should stand strong and don't budge until at least £60M is on the table

I still think  its a decision that the lad would not have taken lightly ,and something may have happened behind the scenes which has resulted in this outcome .....I just cant see how the Lad would lead us a merry dance over this ,I mean the lad had just won the World Cup with Spain and he was draped in a Reds scarf ....and why suddenly after slowly regaining his form has he submitted this request now ...especially after eulogizing about Dalglish last week .....something doesn't sit right here......but lets face it we can all speculate over this and until later Today we will all be kept in the dark  ...... Liverpool have openly stated he's going nowhere for the time being ...its now up to Fernando to state his reasons for this knee jerk reaction

£40-£50mil + Anelka? Don't think we have time to replace Torres this window but Anelka could do a job and then we can bring in some real quality in the Summer.

i questioned the move of the club to release the statement of Torres handing in transfer request.
how does it help us?
if the club rejects the bid no matter how big, the fans will still get on the back of Torres.
unless they wants to sell.

I can understand if he wants major honours....and he isnt home grown....

but he needs to show some f**kin respect to the club that put him on THE MAP. id only sell him abroad. 50 mill and he can go. rather the summer than now so we can search for a proper replacement.
