yes but he never handed in a written transfer request , Torres did.

its clear he dont wish to be at the club anymore and i am sure that he and his agent will fight it all the way.Even if he has to buy himself out of the contract..or if this 50mil offer turns up.

Yes, and it's important that we remember this in retrospect to what is happening now. The difference then, Gerrard had just lifted the biggest prize in club football, and we were on the rise. We didn't have the insane troubles we have had recently. I think it's prudent that we watch what we say before we completely embarrass ourselves should Torres decide to commit. Not meaning to have a go at Gerrard, but it must be said that last season he was guilty of some of the most childish sulking I've ever seen on a football pitch for the full season, yet the Sun still shines out his ar$e. Lest we forget, footballers today are nothing more than spoilt millionaire kids.

you seem like a closet chelsea fan and whether you like it or not chelsea are an ageing team.lampard, terry, drogba, anelka, cole and more are the wrong side of 30.big cech fumbles like a fat bird with a burger king voucher and the russian seems to be getting bored with his plaything.
granted they had a storming start to the season but now appear to be pish when missing 1 or 2 big players.
King Kenny has got their number and will have next week Fernando or not.

ffs

Think rational for a change here.

Chelski is the reigning champions. The have won the title 3 times in 6 years. The are in the CL every year. Abravoshit is bankroalling the team every year and it is a team that has been invested in.

Torres is world class. The club was run like :censored: for 3 years, no investment and to keep hold of Torres the hierarchy probably promised him heaven to get him to stay.

There are no world class players who stay at clubs that finish midtable 2 years in a row. The want to play at the highest level and we canät offer that. Not this season, not next season and maybe not the season after that.

But Torres, the world class striker must stay, no matter how bad the team is....that is dreamworld behaviour.

I fully understand who, not what LIVERPOOL FOOTBALL CLUB ARE!!!

However i do understand WHY he wants to leave, it hurts, even more so that its Chelski (see my previous post)

i also have a Sky box but don't know what that has to do with things?!!??!

The truth is it wouldn't have mattered where in the Pl he would have went and the reaction would had been the same.

Chelski is a nothing club and had achived very little until 5 years ago.

Now all off a sudden they are in the same boat as manure... :no

So go on and hate Torres for wanting to win things.
I know in all your dream worlds you should think a world class striker should be happy plying his trade with a club that finished midtable 2 years in a row. We won't win next season either. So he should just waste at least 3 years of his career cause he should be "loyal".
He has probably been lied to these past season just so he would stay. When in fact not a single class player has been bought for years to support him.

But **** logic. It is all Torres fault. It is all Chelski's fault.
It can't be the club...? Oh no...

opinion's are one thing-lack of knowledge & bu11sh1t speculation of negative proportion is another!! please take some freindly advice-if you ever go to a home or away game in the future-plaese don't spout the cr@p you have just done on here!

believe me -you won't last 5 minuites!! the reason for this -i will take an educated guess -youv'e never been to a game home or away in your life! so don't talk shyte or try & insult people who like me travel everywhere carrying banners, flags etc about the likes of torres-don't patronise me in any shape, manner or form!

torrres wanting to go to team that wins things-ffs so you also don't know or understand the song directed at chelsea- just to remind you- 'Feck off CFC, you ain't got no history-5 European cups & 18 Leagues- thats what we call history'

education,educationl,education!

Gutted, absolutely gutted. Our previous players like alonso, mascherano and even the god awful owen wasnt as bad as torres. At least they had the decency to move abroad.

Regardless of how poorly we and chelsea are in the epl. Our history, fans and honour to wear the shirt makes us worthly rivals. For him to hand in a transfer request after all the 'I love the city and fans' speeches he keeps on going on about from the past the few years. I genuinely believe him and his words.

People compare this this tevez, but he had a good excuse of wanting to go home. rooney is just money grabbing. Torres on the other hand, hes wage wont match rooney and he obvious isnt home sick. He wont win much silverwear either, manure are running away with the epl with a close arsenal at the end of the season, they wont win the europe because of real and barca, and considering how often big teams are losing in the fa cup and the carling cup in recent years. He wont be winning anything there as well.

He was my idol. Not angry. Not crying. I just feel betrayed. Speechless.

Just as the clouds are lifting..... he hands in a transfer request, and what's more it comes so late in the day and the club he wants to go to is Chelsea. Gobsmacked, tbh. He wants to win major trophies, understandable, but there are ways of going about these things and this is patently not the right way. Can he be forgiven? Yes, he hasn't made the move yet and a few years back, Gerrard's head was also turned, but he couldn't bring himself to go through with it and I'm hoping for the same here. But, if and when he crosses the divide, then I'm afraid there'll be no way back.
