RED BEERGOGGLES wrote:Just watched the fighter with Walhberg and Bale (Irish Mickey Ward and Dickie Eklund )....thoroughly enjoyed it ... its the true story of one brothers battle to escape his older siblings vast shadow ,and said siblings ongoing fight against crack dependency, and the pitfalls of fame ....but Bale's performance as the ex pro turned junkie  is intense .... with cameos from Sugar Ray Leonard who Eklund fought and actually put on the canvas at one point ,and culminating with Wards   Welterweight Championship bout with Shea Neary.
8/10 for the best boxing film since Eastwood's Million dollar Baby ....

Watched the trailer 4 times at least! looks like a fantastic film with really fantastic actors.

Will watch that, thanks for the short review :)

Watched a movie Skyline... don't bother, absolutely terrible. Its about Aliens invading earth and killing every single Human Being.. and what a terrible ending to it too.

Finally got around to seeing Kickass and Ironman 2

If it wasnt for Scarlett in leather outfit I probably would have bailed on IM2, Kickass was a lot of fun though

Kickass is a very fun movie to watch isn't it? I thought it was comedy, but it isn't!!! the moral of the movie is basically is don't be stupid and act like a super hero :D

watched Hurt Locker last night:

bomb disposal squad over in Iraq. Gives a rather intense account of what it like over there, in particular follows a soldier who comes to love nothing but war. I really enjoyed it, easily one of the best war films in modern times
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road
