Rafa had most of the dressing room, just a few selfish players who thought they knew better and that showed how wll they knew....
Roy lost Torres day 1 as he did most of the players except maybe Carra who got a fat new 2 year contract when he had been in decline for awhile.

is that an opinion, or a fact? if its the latter, who told you that?

Use your eyes ffs.
And the stats don't lie either.
Torres doesn't go from a 56 in 71 goal scorer under Rafa
to a 5 in 17 goal scorer under Roy and who doesn't look like he could care.
It is called basic logic!

so each time a player is off form, its nothing to do with the player, but its the manager's fault?

What Andy doesn't seem to realise is that we used to score more goals than any other team from counter attacking on corners from our own box. Torres stayed back and when Reina gathered the ball it was quickly realeased to someone and the brake was on.
This season, Torres and Reina both look average. Although Torres seems to be the one getting all the stick for it. Reina is no longer instructed to release the ball quickly. He goes for the old school long ball up to Torres all the time. And then Torres is expected to hold the ball up, similar to Heskey until the Midfield make up the 30 odd yard distance. How must these tactics make 2 Spanish players feel?
Actually make that 3 spanish players! Imagine if you were young Pacheco, and you loved to play in the hole were you could have a great influence over the game... and your manager started trying to change you into a winger.
The problem folks is not that all our players are cack, its that the manager has no idea how to use them. And maybe they find it hard to show passion when they all know this.
Meiriles is not a right winger. Kuyt is not a left winger. Pacheco is not a winger. Joe Cole is not a centre mid. Torres is not Emile Heskey. Gerrards best position is not CM. The Greek is not Peter Crouch. Konchesky is not a footballer.

Good post.
It does not get away from the fact that Torres simply is not interested at the moment for whatever reason!!
