Owen Coyle is a damn good shout ,he has that aura that surrounds all good managers ......make no mistake about it  this Jock  could be another Ferguson in the making he's young and he is ambitious ,and his teams can play passing football as well as mix it with the battlers  ... you just know this fella is going to be snapped up by a top team ...so why shouldn't that team be Liverpool ?

because he manages a team like Bolton, so certain fans would concentrate on what he manages and won over his career rather than his footballing philosophy. Sadly, now a days, top teams get managers who have impressive C.Vs and won a lot of trophies, you don't pick up a manager who won nothing but is very impressive in a small club, even though he made his team play some very good football.

I agree on what you said though, I think Owen Coyle is not a bad shout at all

Then why did we get Hodgson ....if it was just about having an impressive cv ....no MH I think  Coyle is a young and up and coming manager who teams play innovative football and Liverpool are sadly some way off being a top team as it currently stands mate ...so Coyle might just be the ideal man to give us something special and regain our pride ....besides all that
Its been along time since Anfield has resounded to the flower of Scotland  :;): we just borrowed the tune  :D

Chill yer beans mate.

Hodgson had nearly won the Europa league with a Fulham side that was almost relagated the season before, thats pretty credible. Even still I wouldnt have chosen Hodgson to be our manager, im not saying that bringing in Hodgson wasnt Bizarre.. all im saying is that thinking about bringing in owen coyle, a manager with even less credibility than Hodgson is a bit bizarre

voted no.
personally think he is a good manager and at the moment is on fire but not for us.
we need a manager with experience in winning trophies, not managers who go on a good old run every now and again and become flavour of the month.

Not a bad shout rocky.  Considering how much post match interviews factor into the evaluation of a Manager as far as this forum goes, Holloway would be awesome.

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

I would appoint Coyle.
Moyes wasn't known a few years back and is being touted at the next Manure manager.
Whats the point of appointing someone of a similar age to Hodgson who doesn't have a 10-15 year future at the club.
I also think Mr Henry would like someone with his attitude and passion.
For me I would prefer to stick to a British manager preferably Scottish.

i think that just about everyone agrees that hodgson was not the correct choice but that doesn't mean we can use it to justify someone like owen coyle. the guy has done well so far and is a breath of fresh air but its way to early for him to take on a top club - and yes, we are still a top club. he's one to keep an eye on for 3, 4 or 5 years down the line though.

I voted yes , the lad is gonna be a top manager in years to come . Look what he's done at bolton , this team have been playing hoof ball since bruce rioch left them . He has changed the whole ethos of the club and the coaching and playing staff in a matter of how long .They play good attacking football and they are getting results in playing that way . If LFC are looking at starting again and building from scratch then this is the man i would want . Deffo.

Holloway refered to Alex Ferguson ''being bullied by player and agent''. Could you imagine the outbursts had Roy said that!

Infact, if Hodgson had come out and gave that interview, he'd have been crucified by the 'best supporters in the land'.

Coyle is not a bad shout at all. Just look at what he did with Burnley and what he is currently doing at Bolton - they are 4th!!

His teams are very difficult to beat and try to play football.
