I hope Stevie's performance has inspired Nando to snap out of it, and start running again.

If we can get this kids head right, who knows what we could do?

For me the fella still looks far from happy. Maybe I'm reading too much into it but after two goals and a result like todays I'd expect the lad to at least crack a smile .

you see even the mods think im always right. But i suppose they have to remain impartial and not show favouritisum else they would agree with me alot more i think.  :D

Good to see Torres getting back to his norm! I don't care if he is or is not happy right now just want to see more goals scored! A nice run of wins now would do the team & the fans a world of good after all the recent drama surrounding the take over.

I think he'd crack a smile if we were in the title race, instead of 9th place.

Woof, i really dont think it was or is a case of him not being arsed. His lack of running, for me was clearly because he knew he wouldnt get near them because he wasnt totally fit.

Also, its a mental thing. If you aint got confidence in your body to do something its natural you'll shirk challenges, skirmishes until you feel 100%.

Fernando of late has steadily improved. his touch is coming back, his movement is near excellent. Those two goals yesterday will be a huge relief to him. Look at his comments after the game. He knows were he was at.

The press have had  afield day of us. Former players have been appalling. Jamie redknapp especially! His comments after the Birmingham game were pathetic. He, more than anyone knows what it is like to come back after poor injuries.

He's there to be shot at at Liverpool because of our over reliance on him and Stevie. With some new signings in Jan and the summer. Hopefully, the onus wont be as mush and the lads can really groove.

On another note, its great to see Anfield lookingHappy again. The removal of the flags and the anger towards the previous owners really affected the team. They seem so much happier yesterday. Lets hope its our springboard and we dont :censored: it at Wigan Wednesday.

Fernando Torres LIVERPOOL'S NUMBER 9 I SALUTE YOU! :bowdown

Torres was fantastic yesterday. He is nearly back to his very best. I still think there is just a touch more before he is there but give him time and space and he is ruthless in front of goal. It was a joy to see yesterday.

Get the ball to him in the box and he'll score.  Don't and he won't.
It really is that simple.

It was about roy's tactics mate. Roy's tactics have been improving. Torres is less isolated up front now. Against Chelsea, Kuyt provided alot of support for Torres. Against Blackburn he had support from Gerrard, Cole and meireles. Torres is best at playing the lone striker role but that doesn't mean that you can leave him up front by himself with the midfield 80 yards behind him...

Agree with this.
Roy has got things tactically wrong at times this season without a doubt.
But if he learns from his mistakes and corrects them that is a good thing.

Agreed.

As good as Torres is, you can't expect him to deliver upfront on his own if left devoid of service.

Absolutely made up for the lad after his two (well taken) goals yesterday! And to think some were honestly talking about us selling him. You don't move up the table by selling your world class players, and our Nando is definitely such a player when fit.
