Oh no his awful.  I watch Bundesliga every week and seen enough of Gomez.  His record at Stuttgart was very good but he was never that good.  I dont think I ever saw him play well for Germany.  Bayern paid way too much for him and his been a huge flop.  I  really dont want Gomez!!

I missed that rumour, and I wouldn't have believed it because Bilbao have rejected a Madrid offer of more than 10M...

That rumour being true would be great because it wouldn't mean only to brink a tall and classic 9 with quality, it also would mean the owners are willing to put some money in Roy Hodgsons' hands.

Agreed mate, awful player, I would rather have Heskey over him, to say he is better than Llorente is a bit far fetched

See Jose Mourihno is chaisng our target Ola Toivonen.

Hopefully the allure of forming a strike partnership with Torres and playing more games will swing his decision to come to Anfield.

I think Roy has commented specifically on Toivonen and said a deal was unlikely, as Toivonen wasn't "the right profile" (could just be Roy trying to tone it down of course).

Here's a link about Gomez

The guy sucks but if we can get him for something cheep I'd go for him. And with what Llorente are we being linked with? Both are very good I'd be verry happy to have one of them here.

There may be a Llorente - Insua (+ money I gues) swap. Wow Llorente would be like the best back up striker that we can get. I am almost sure that it isnt true but it is a thing that can keep me happy for the rest of the day :D (untill I read tommorow that it's all just a rumour :( ). Llorente is a very good player but I wouldnt use him as a starter, just as a back up for Torres. Not that he is not good enough but I just dont want us playing 4 - 4 - 2 and between the two Fernandos I'd ofcourse pick Torres.

I would love Llorente or Gomez, though I thought Gomez was better than you guys seem to think.

Getting Gomez on loan could be better for us.  His salary is like 125k a week which would really cost us a lot, but if he's bad we can send him back with not much of a loss.

Llorente would be a great signing, he's amazing in the air.  Makes for an easy target for a team like us who swing in a lot of balls trying to hit Torres.  Llorente can just stick his head above everybody else and knock it in.  But considering the fact that he has been at Bilbao since he was 11, I just don't see anything materializing.  I really hope it does, but I'm trying to not get my hopes up.

Wouldnt go near Cole or Gomez but the Spanish lad looked handy when he got on the field in the World Cup. Would take him. Least we can have some sort of opinion on those 3 seeing as most of us will have had glimpses of them playing but some of these other boys linked Ive just no clue about to be honest. Lord knows what that Swedish fella can do but he looks a big unit to deal with. I see Sunderland are in for that Gyan who looked a handful in the World Cup and hes clearly available, but theres a number of names. I mean I rate Podolski but no one seems to go near him at all.

Podolski  hasnt scored many goals at club level in a while.  Didnt perform at Bayern and didnt score many for Cologne last year either.
