Hmmm....not a lot going on here, 2 hours of pushing a trolley around a burnt earth and then the ending is $hit. Made to try and win an Oscar but too many unanswered questions by the end and Mrs Dundalk not happy I made her sit through all it.  :D  With the ending I suppose its open for a part two if they want but I wont be queuing up for that one.

4/10

Jaysis Dundalk, you must be joking.

The Road is one of the best films I seen in years.

I can't fault it at all. Except maybe the ending.

I've only just watched The Road and I've just been looking back to see if anyone actually liked it because most people who I've asked have said it's a bit slow and boring but I have to say it's one of the best films I've seen in the past year.Ok it's not all action and fast paced but it has you glued to your screen.

It is a depressing film but a very good depressing film at that

Gotta say I agree with DD on this one,I love all sorts of movies...don't mind dark moody movies. The road tried to be one and failed...was way too boring and had a shi'te ending too!

Its defo one that splits the masses,no one says its ok or average, you either love it or hate it...I thought it was awful!

Not enough happens in it!! :no

No mate I dont really like action hero movies, zombies are good though at times....I just thought it was shi't...good idea but it was not executed! They left too much to the viewer....I think you either need to be a father or be depressed to love it!

Could be right there mate.I would fall into the depressed category then.

However I do like films that leave a lot to the viewer

Anyone seen Neil Marshal's latest flick Centurion. Enjoyed Dog soldiers and descent, was wondering how he went with a bigger budget

Watched it last night. Not as good as Dog Soldiers.

Loads of action but a paper thin storyline i.e Romans fight Picts ( now known as Scots ) Picts capture Roman General. Half a dozen Romans venture into Pict territory in an attempt to rescue the General. Rest of movie is the Picts pursuing the Romans as they try to get back to their own lines.

Lots of hard core violence, Spear in the mouth, Axe in the head, Blood gushing and spurting all over the place etc etc.

Fairly entertaining if you like that stuff but ultimately forgettable.

Just watched a film called After Life. What a weird film that is it's got Liam Neeson in, I was thinking it was similar to sixth sense and what lies beneath later on, there were still questions unanswered for me at the end but a very good film if you ask me,  although a bit unrealistic but I would recommend it.
