I dont give a fuck if they offer 120 million

What good is it going to do, the money will go back to Twit and :censored:, a fraction will be paid of the loans and a fraction will be given to Roy.

As a fan what do you want.....one of the best forwards in the world playing for your team or 80 million or whatever it is going towards the two Americans. At the end of the day the club is still going to be up for sale and nothing will change except we will be down a world class player. If the club was sold and the offer came in then i suppose that would be a different story.

Keep him no matter what the offer because it will make feck all of a difference to out plight

Since when does the fans wishes count for anything? If we get a bid of 80 mill or something similar the club will end up saying yes.

It will be up to Torres where he wants to play.

I'm saying sell at 80 million for a number of reasons. Firstly, I'm making the assumption that the manager gets say 50 millon of it to spend (yes, I know, but before the wrist slashers, head bashers, teeth gnashers and black and white swimming birds take over, lets look at it). Firstly, I don't know how much of it he'd get to spend, but neither does anybody else either, it's just a guess. Secondly, if we didn't spend a good portion of it, then we could definately kiss goodbye to Champions League aspirations.

Anyway, lets run with my 50 mill' theory. Inter Milan showed last season that if you get a big fee in for your best player, you can indeed improve as a team provided you have a top class manager who invests the proceeds wisely. Now obviously Citeh don't give a feck about money, so we ought to be able to stripe them over a barrel for a new striker. How about Adebayor, or Tevez for example? Take 15-18 mill off the fee, and they can pay half his wages? Howzabout Steven Ireland? Take 8 mill off the fee (I know these players are worth more but feck em) and Micah Richards? Knock another five mill off. Tell you what, that Onuha wouldn't go amiss either, throw him in as a freebie and then we're talking....

So lets see, (Mick licks the pen for no apparent reason and smooths out the back of the fag packet for the calculation to take place). Thats:

Tevez or Adebayor (and you lot are paying half his wages for a five year deal).
Steven Ireland.
Micah Richards.
Iffy Onuha or whatever the feck his name is.
And while we're at it, Craig Bellamy for 4 mill ta.
Plus the cash. Now lets see (scribble scribble). I make it 37 million in players, plus 43 million in cash. You want to do a deal or not? The moneymen can have their 30 mill in bung money, which leaves us 13 mill for some walkabout money. Bring it on.

you can type all day mate, but basically itd come down to Citeh gaining Torres, us losing him... that could kick us out of the top 4 for years, which makes it harder to sell the club... newcastle and leeds springs to mind then.

80mill to spain or italy tho, completely different

Daws we've got a bad experience of selling one of our best players and then spunking a goodly portion of the proceeds on a totally unsuitable replacement, but that doesn't mean it's always that way mate. Teams can grow stronger from selling their best players, it's happened throughout history.

Hes not worth £80m and ANY club would take that for Torres. I doubt it will be offered or that he will go there. If he does go to City he must be chasing the coin lets face it and that will go against everything we beleived he was and the lad will have let himself down. I can only see a move to Barcelona to be honest but then again do they need him, I doubt it. Another English club is just an escape route but is that unhappy at Liverpool that he will take any job to leave Anfield? Surely its not that bad. The market and interested parties really do not favour Torres so its a big big call if moves on at this point. Either way we will have a top player is he stays or recruit two top players if he moves on.
