His not.

The fact that Mancini, Mourinho and Guardiola all have called him a special player suggests his far from rubbish.  The guy has an insane amount of ability.  Does he maximise the talents he has to perform on a weekly basis?  No.

our team spirit took a great rise with the appointment of Roy and the signing of Milan, Wilson and especcailly Cole and Gerrard committing. I think if Torres left us it'll knock the team for a six. Gerrard for one will be well p!ssed off and we'll have to go through another season with him tripping up over his bottom lip as he sulks his way across a footie pitch.

Torres, please please stay.

ive always thought if he ever came to the premiership, he would be similar to what berbatov has been for the mancs.

bigmick wrote:Nan his problems with the club are surely twofold. Firstly he is fairly sure we won't win feck all because the team/squad isn't strong enough. We all know this, and without getting into tedious arguements/discussions about who's fault it is, barring something out of the ordinary his fears are probably well founded this season.

Secondly, and I personally think this is a BIG factor, we aren't in the Champions League. Now once again swerving the "but it's down to....." questions, it's worth considering what chance we'd have of signing someone of Torres's class given we finished 7th last season? Somewhere close to zero is the answer, and Torres will know that while David Villa is banging them in every week for Barcelona, and while they are in the Champions League semi finals being watched by 1.5 billion people Worldwide, we are going to be playing Trabzonspour in the last 16 of the Europa League Cup, watched by our loyal fan base on Channel Five with the Irish bloke presenting it, and watched by 5000 fanatical Trabzonsporians. While Villa will be capturing the Worlds imagination as his Barca team go head to head with Mourinho's Real Madrid in the most exciting Spanish Title race for years, Torres and us will need to eek out five points from our last three games to come out on top in our titanic battle with Spurs for fourth in the league. While David Villa is playing Tenerife Away, and the merest touch from a defender on his suntanned torso is immediately penalised, Torres will be getting the sh!t kicked out of him on a wet and windy Wednesday night at Birmingham.

I'm sure he has many beefs Nan. Some are nobodies fault it's just one of those things, others could have been avoided but there we are.

Add to that the fact Spain won the world cup and everywhere / every game the lads will be cheered and celebrated as champions, whereas Torres will have a less than pretty season with LFC. Surely every Spanish international would want to play in Spain this year, of all years, its perfectly understandable.

Well if he does goes there would be a certain ironic co-incidence considering our star striker Owen departed during the summer as a new manager was going.

Really in two minds, dont want to see if us losing any star player regardless of the pay off (ala Alonso), however if he is unsettled plus injury factor maybe it would be worth cashing in

Fornicate me the off season stuff really does my head in

how many more times luis fabiano is the only striker out there who could make it big in the prem. Hes quick and very strong and a proven goalscorer.

All that needs to be said has been said.
Torres needs to show some respect and consideration. He is really anoying me now.
If he doesnt want to be here then tell the manager so he can look for a replacement.
Sh'it or get off the bog.

Lets give him the benefit of the doubt, he's on holiday with his family we should leave him be! Then when he comes back get  it sorted out. If i was him and i had to keep speaking to purslow i would be utterly :censored:. So let him enjoy his holiday and then when he comes back we shall find out where he stands and it's up to Roy to convince him. I do believe if Roy can galvanise the squad, get a left back and a good back up striker why we can't push for the title. If we don't try then there's no point in us even existing. Liverpool FC is about winning trophies, not sitting down scratching your bottom after one low season. We should be aiming for all trophies because that is what this very special club is built for!

He's not the ONLY striker out there, he's unproven in the Premiership, may not settle as can be the case with South Americans and is 30 in November

Two seasons ago worth a gamble, but at the end of the day these players' prices soar the minute anyone knows who they are. Managers need to be on the ball and sign them before they are hot properties
Never buy from PC World, product quality is poor and their 'customer service' is even poorer
