I think it's more than likely he'll stay Nan. He and the family are supposed to pretty settled, he's had some injuries and isn't get attention from the big clubs outside the Premiership. Chelsea have said their not interested although that could be games and I just don't see him rushing to Man City even if they offer him massive money.

He'll want some assurances from Purslow about new players and his agent may be trying to wrangle another 'contract extension' but with Cole, Jovanovic and Wilson signing, Gerrard staying and no definite news on Masch I think he'll still be here next season.

Yes I must admit I'm starting to get a bit twitchy on Torres too. If he is going to go, I'd rather it be sooner rather than later so the manager has at least a little time to look for a replacement.

Roy said that Gerrard had to mull over an offer from a different club....im sure Torres is doing the same

when did he say that?

There have been no offers for any of our players - just speculation.

As for 'Lawro' - i'll f'kin knee the bastar'do !

Roy - " Steven wanted time to consider a possible option that he had but I was always optimistic that he would stay at Liverpool because hes the heart and soul of Liverpool and it would have been a major blow to lose him"

dear god that man talks some sh!te  :no

I had a great time watching the Germany - Spain semifinal again.

Is that the guy that was commenting the game? I loved it, the whole commentary. How Spain did nothing with the posession, how Germany was way more dangerous, all lovely until the goal, in which he didn't know what to say.

What a twát.

On Torres, I'm not worried. He'll stay. He won't go this season that for sure. And then, it will be up to Hogson and the lads to come back to Europe.

If we come back to the CL Torres won't be tempted to go IMHO.

Why I'm not worried? because a player like Torres only can go to another top club. Real Madrid is not an option, Barcelona has signed Villa, and the English clubs would have to pay an insulting amount of money if they want Torres.

It was truly awful commentary by Lawrenson Sabre - I cringed on a few occasions especially when he called Spain's football 'powderpuff'. His co-commentator Guy Mowbray couldn't believe it.

I was on another forum the other day and they are asking if we should sell him anyway.
someone dug up some stats on players that have been out for sometime and how they were before they got hurt and after they come back.

worked out that most only ever started 68% of first team games for the rest of their playing days (Owen.Gazza,Henry and many more)

so should we sell him now?
well if we did we could still make a mint out of him and use the money to buy two good strikers.
I feel there is a risk that we might never see the Torres of two seasons ago again.

Was watching on the lfc channel last night - Torres first 10 league goals.
Some fantastic goals in there - left foot right foot, headers.
No better striker in the world when he is on form for me.
Hope to god he stays personally.

Fernando Torres scored a goal every 95 mins & 18 secs in the Premier League last term, quicker than any other player.

He just needs to be rested a bit more and have someone else up there with him.

fernando Torres = best striker in the world. opinion! (possibly correct but an opinion none the less).
ben oseman = prolific poster of one liners. fact!

I'm going to put you into the "machine gunners" section ben. You need to report to Benny the Noon's office first thing tomorrow morning and you will be issued with your standard grade Kalashnikov. He'll also have an instruction book and your rapid fire internet connection all sorted for you.

thanks alot. but fernando is probably the worlds best. when on form may i add. we do not want to be selling a player of his ability, because to be honest there is no one of a similar ability that would be willing to join us. plus any money brought in from the sale probably wouldnt go into the team, it would line those yank cnts pockets. losing il nino would lose us atleast 25 goals (if he was fit) a season.
