At times like these it really makes me sell him.He gets injured the whole time.Id rather have 50 milion than an injured world class striker.

What do we get if he's injured all the time? And if he's not in a good form, like in the world cup when he's not injured?I wouldnt sell him for anything lower than 40 mil, but unless he can somehow promise that he wont get injured all the time I'd sell him for those 50 mil.Dont get me wrong, I love the guy, but he's no good if he cant be on the pitch.

only the stupid ones!

it may be a viable option due to his minutes on the pitch if we sold for 70 mill and used the whole lot for strengthing the team as a whole.

but we would see none of the funds recieved so it's not an option!

Yes it doesn't mean you are stupid if you advocate selling Torres, nor does it mean you aren't a real fan, are fickle, ungrateful for the goals he has scored, unambitious etc etc etc. It just means that on balance, for the right price, you'd let him go. At around 60-70 million, if that was offered and the new manager was to be given 2/3 of the proceeds, I'd sell.

The reality is though I don't think we'll be offered that (particularly now) so I'd keep him. When he's fit, he's an absolutley fantastic player so it's no hardship.

Every player has a price - while Torres is one of the best players around there is no point only having him for 15 to 20 games a season - if you can get a big fee for him then get yourself two strikers who will score goals and play more games then it is worth selling him .

I have a feeling that Torres may look at the physical nature of the prem and realise that injuries have robbed him this season and robbed him of playing a better part in the WC and decide he doesnt want to put his body on line in the prem and may look to leave anyway

Call me fickle.

I never expected him to get through the forth coming season without spending some time in the treatment room and just 24 hours ago despite some reservations about his "fitness" . I wouldn't have counternanced selling Torres, he is simply one of the most gifted players to have ever worn our shirt.

However, as much as we appreciate him, in light of his ever increasing injuries, I think there is a case to be made for us to start thinking with our heads and not just our hearts.

Prior to the world cup he may well have been worth the £50-£60-£70 million that some have set as his worth. I would suggest that unless he can quickly recover from this latest setback and get back to playing and proving his worth we will find that his value to LFC as a player and as a marketable asset will rapidly diminish.

I would never want to see a fully fit injury free player of Nando's quality leave us, unfortunately it seems like a long long time since he was fully fit and injury free.
