Sell.

I dont want us to part with Torres, but it will be a huge miracle if he recovers from all these injuries.

And I wonder what those idiots who critisized Rafa for trying to rest Torres are going to say now.

It'll still be Rafa's fault - they're too thick to see otherwise.

Certain fans expect the players to be loyal and stay in Liverpool but at the same time want him be sold after another injury? Real disloyal tw@ts!

And scored what, one goal in two finals competitions? (albeit the winner in the Euros so pretty important)

is it me being skepitical or we seeing a shift in the top strikers in europe wanting to come to england. Because i think the words out that strikers are risking serious long term injury by coming here? Anyone agree

On a slightly more serious note, Torres's injury ought to have a couple of positive knock on effects. Firstly, it almost certainly means he'll be with us at the start of the season. There aren't many managers that will spend big money on injured and injury prone players. Some do of course, but generally speaking most managers won't splash a large portion of their transfer budget on an such a gamble, they usually go wrong.

The second positive knock on is the fact that we need a back up striker, and even the money men won't be able to deny it. Sure there'll be one or two people who think N'Gog is adequate cover, but I think the majority of people who watched us last season will think we either need to develop cover from within, or we need to buy. From within the choices are probably Ryan Babel or Derek Kuyt. To keep the post short, suffice to say I think we need to visit the transfer market.

My English based options would be in this order, Carlton Cole, Roque Santa Cruz and Kevin Doyle. My guess is though we'll get someone from overseas. Could be the first test of Roy in the transfer market.

look at that picture - he's beaming.  and with his Liverpool scarf on too  - he loves his club.

A good rest now and careful training, we'll probably not have him for the opening games but he'll be back.

Ahh that pic is awesome, the only one in the Spain dressing room who actually had something on from his club was Torres.
