I was just going to say that, they blew it big time. How can you console them after that?

You wouldn't want the defender on your team to handle it?

The way it happened

Missing a pen in the last min to go through

The hopes of a continent resting on them

Most of the stadium cheering for them

They were so close to becoming the first African team to get into a world cup semi final

I don't give a fukk about the hopes of a continent. There are a lot more people in Ghana than Uruguay.

For a country with about 3.5m people to win 2 world cups (albeit in the early days) and be in the semis is a great achievement.

All this condescending Africa stuff is nonsense.

Brazil fan kills himself after WC loss

  AFP

A young Haitian football fan was so distraught at Brazil's World Cup exit on Friday that he killed himself by leaping in front of a car, according to witnesses contacted by an AFP photographer.

The 18-year-old died after the incident, which took place in Nerette, on the outskirts of the Haitian capital, following Brazil's 2-1 defeat by the Netherlands in the quarter-finals.

During the World Cup, Brazilian wins were celebrated by street parties that brought a rare dash of colour and joy to a country still struggling to rebuild after the devastation of the January earthquake

Undeserved for Gyan - he's been one of the stars of the world cup so far. Don't even know who he plays for.

Best drama of the world cup.

Sh'ite world cup this though - imagine having to wait until the 3rd qf match to see a bit of excitement. The ball is f'ucking rubbish - skites off the surface and out of play all the time, players can't control it.

Just imagine how fun the premiership would be if the Jabulani ball was made standard in all leagues in Europe.

I think the ball has had a massive influence in many games.
