International Football/Football World Wide - General Discussion

Cristiano is a brilliant player, he will be considered one of the world's all time greats? I doubt it, but that doesn't take away the fact that the man is a world class individual. If it wasn't for Ronaldo then Manchester Utd wouldn't have won three league titles and a Champions League trophy with two back to back finals thrown into the fray. So, he hasn't delivered at the World Cup, neither has Lionel Messi if you compare his club performances to his international performances, the same with Torres, Rooney, Drogba, Anelka and so on...

Of course rose tinted spectacles often help create an unnecessary sense of bias.

I think it's ridiculous the you declare 'Your love' for Ronaldo on a Liverpool supporters forum and don't expect to get abuse.

I also admire Roy Keane, Mikel Arteta and I really rate Didier Drogba, wanna abuse me? Be my guest.  :)

A good footballer is a good footballer regardless who he plys his trade with it, be it Everton, Manchester United, or Auchen FC.

Ronaldo .. who?  that bit-part player who didn't trun up for his country when they needed him.. ummm did he even feature - anonymous, awol, non-existant sums up his world cup. Diving and maoning is about all his contribution was. If I was a Portugese supporter, I'd be chucking tomatoes and eggs at him on his return.. see how well he dives in the face of that.

Robinho slots the ball home, simple through ball from Melo and Robinho's simple, little run breaks down Holland.

Everyone has called me an idiot for saying this was Brazil's WC to lose, but so far they haven't proven me wrong. I'm enjoying this.

Rule of thumb, never write them off. They barely qualified in 2002 and look what happened then.  :D

I think they are more dangerous than ever in this world cup as they are defensivley more capable.

Have we had any goals from free kicks yet in this world cup? I can't think of any.

he was attempting the 'Ryan Gigg's cheeky corner trick. Brazil wernt having any of it

Robben should switch to the left. He is too predictable, every time he comes in at you on the right you know he is going to try and turn to pull a shot off.
