I know there is a "next manager" thread already live on here, but there are a few headlines circulating suggesting that Kenny will leave his post as FD if Woy gets the nod ahead of him.

So my Poll question is this;

Hypotethically speaking, if the shortlist came down to the final 2 candidates being Dalglish or Hodgson, who would you give the job to and why?

For arguments sake, there are no other alternative candidates, just Kenny or Roy.

Kenny has got my vote.

Because if he sincerely wants the job, I think he may feel he owes the club his effort, as maybe he feels partially responsible for the demise of the blub over the last 20 years, walking away suddenly.

Even if he was given a short contract, even 12 months, and see how he could run things again.

I know he has been out of the game for so long, but he always has his eye on the game, and I think it would give everybody, players & fans a massive boost, even if it is only an emotional, nostalgic boost.

If it doesnt work out, well at least he sacrificed his legendary status in trying to reedem Liverpool to its former great glory.

I think Kenny has been out of the manager side of things for too long now. That side of the game has changed dramatically, It's no longer a english league its a global league, and I don't think Kenny can attract the big names from outside England.
I'm not won over by Roy Hodgson neither TBH. I don't think he would take us any higher then what Benitez did in his time at the club.
If we get either of these 2 as managers, we will be taking a massive back step as a club.

I would opt for Dalglish over Hodgson simply because of how high profile this appointment will prove to be and I just feel personally that the fans need another hero to champion our cause .... someone who is as passionate in his love for the club as we the fans are ,I just fail to see how we can sit back and watch the manager these 4 cunts would select render us virtually soulless

Is this what you call a rhetorical poll?

To be honest I wouldn't want to see him come in right now as the club is in a mess. Out best players could be flogged off and he could have next to nothing to spend. What kind of situation is that to present to him? And to then ask him to manage what's left? It's setting him up for a fall, but at the same time right now I just want someone actually connected with the club, someone who knows the club and someone who the players can look up to. There are too many strangers within the club who don't have the clubs best intentions at heart. Also maybe just maybe if he comes in he can pursuade Stevie and Torres to stay for just one more year, and in that time we are sold to decent owners.

I guess in 2-3 days time when the result is 100 - 2 in favour of Kenny and RAWK etc.. have done the same and its 1000 - 2 (same 2 prícks probably) links can be sent to the ECHO so they can USE the info to make sure the club knows how the fans (their clientbase remember) feel. Otherwise its a waste of time.
