What freakin' planet are you on ? This numpty is one year into a 5 year contract; he submits a "verbal" transfer request ('cos he knows a written one won't stand up....though I doubt he can write !); he loses his first team place and instead of rising to the challenge, he sulks and says "It's my ball and I'm going home !"...

Tell you what then, if that's a symptom of your attitude (along with all the other symptoms of your general psyche) then go find another club willing to put up with your petulance.

Not welcome at Anfield !

  :no

Stephen Ireland is a class act and has been treated very unfairly by a manager who doesn't know anything about him. He was the fans player of the year and then lost his first team place to more ''recognizable'' players when Mancini arrived.

He would be a great signing IMO, and would really help with the lack of depth we now have in midfield.

I don't know if this was a personal attack on the poster or what but I think you should wind you neck in and listen to other people views in future.

:wwww

What a daft post - gave me a laugh that did....

Were we not linked with an Algerian guy Ziani some time back ? I just watched him tonight vs. Ireland (which incidentally we won 3-0, the first time since Trap took over that we won by more than 2 clear goals :)  ), and he looked pretty useful...

Valencia confirm talks with Manchester City over £25 million David Silva deal

Valencia president Manuel Llorente has confirmed that talks have taken place with Manchester City over the possible £25 million transfer of Spain winger David Silva.

Manchester City have expressed an interest in signing Valencia and Spain midfielder David Silva.
City chief executive Garry Cook, who returned from a business trip to Spain on Friday night with football administrator Brian Marwood, had been due to meet Llorente in Valencia on Thursday before re-scheduling for a later date.

Llorente said: “The news is true. City got in touch with us asking for a meeting, but then they informed us that they could not come and that they intend to do so a little further down the line."

Sport on television Valencia have warned Silva, who has previously expressed a desire to join Manchester United or Real Madrid, that he will not be allowed to leave for less than £25 million.

I agree, it wasn't long ago that Riera was preferred to him by the Spain manager.

A host of the top six Premier League clubs are courting the signature of Cole but Redknapp, who oversaw his development during his time at West Ham United, has hinted that the out-of-contract 28-year-old may have sealed his exit from Stamford Bridge prior to the World Cup.

He said: "It looks to me someone's going to make a great free transfer, if he doesn't stay at Chelsea. I genuinely don't know who that is. I don't think it's going to be Tottenham.

"I've got a feeling, I may be wrong, that he's already agreed a deal with someone, and it's not Tottenham.

"I'm not saying if he hadn't agreed a deal with someone and he was available and didn't stay at Chelsea that we wouldn't be interested.

"I'm a big fan of Joe's, but the feedback we've had is that he might well have already done something.

Don't know what's goin on - but I would hope that Gerrard would not fall for the sh'tehead's games again, afte he insulted him last time..

Gerrard is Liverpool FC through and thorugh, he wants to win the PL with liverpool, I don't see that changing.

I tell ya.. Carra's in the Engerland squad to make sure Gerrard's head don't get messed with again, by other  grabbing rent boys in that squad
