Wonder why Ben didn't leave?

Why did pregnant women die? Because Jacob didn't want to take them off the list? Because the babies wouldn't be candidates?

Could be something to do with his daughter? She wasnt around

Or maybe he just hadn't quite sorted out his own personal demons yet, he was a major tw.at and did some terrible things in his life after all, even if he did do a few good things towards the end.

the worst part of the show was right at the end, firstly it ended 15 minutes early, secondly there was a stupid voice over showing what was on next, completely ruiend the moment

Apparently there is going to be a Hurley and Ben spin-off, each week they have a wacky adventure kinda like Gilligans.

Expect special guest stars each week

I thought Ben dimished somewhat in the last 2 series. I liked his character as the master manipulator who could get anyone to do anything. And his war with Widmore was good as well. That just sort of petered out.

The whole, he's angry cause he can't hear Jacob thing wasn't quite believable either.

Richard Alpert is another character who went from being super composed to being a frightened wreck very quickly and without a huge amount of justificaition.

Richard Alpert suddenly realised that he'd been doing something for 100s of years, and it all basically meant nothing.

Ben just got better and better if you ask me, became a much more rounded character, nto just the pantomime villian which he played brilliantly in the earlier seasons.

I think i did a heroes topic starter when it first aired or beforehand with the sub-title: better than Lost?

It wasn't lol

Sorry, one more moment of genius:

Juliet said it worked with the bomb, she said exactly the same thing with the candy machine, some kind of overlap between the two worlds?

the more I'm thinknig about it the more I'm loving the ending

I wont put in any spoilers though like Woof I think it was total cop out.

Correct me if im wrong but didnt the creators a couple of season ago state that this wasnt going to be solution
Though I guess they weaved so many mysteries into this show, it was never going to have a satisfactory ending

End of day I guess like most TV shows its about the journey not destination and keeping bums on the seats to fullfil ad committments. In that regards and for some great totty it was a resounding success

Least it makes the BSG finale look bit better............not wait a minute no it doesnt.
Give me a Blake's7 ending any day

I feel like my mind has been raped. That ending was the biggest tonne of bollox to ever have graced (or disgraced) modern TV. F*cking insulting to think people were left pondering what the f*ck was going on. Just what the f*ck?! I want those hours of my life back. What was the Island? Like what? What was it. F*ck off!

I agree with journey statement.

Would have been sweet if it had ended badly. All the main characters aligned on 2 sides, Jack vs Locke with the island turned off. Deaths everywhere and at the end Locke leaves on a boat with everyone else dead to wreck the world.....

@ER, how could they have explained it to peoples satisfaction? I don't think there was anything that was going to make everyone go 'ah, now it all makes sense'. Better, just to leave us wondering. It's certainly split opinions though.

You and Woof though, who would have thought it - feckin' antis!

I watched it again last night, and i loved it it i thought it was a great ending.

It all makes perfect sense to me at least. The fact that they didnt want to move on without each other was a brilliant way
to finish the show, the people that became one big family which had good and bad times but ultimately shared the most important times in their lives together.

The Island i assume was an observation point built by an ivolved civilisation, to research and and learn about mankinds characteristics, i just get this from what the surrogate said to the smoke about mankinds greed and curruption.

Why would you thank somebody for stabbing you in the back? seems like she didnt actually belong their, but had been put in place as an observer, to me she didnt actually seem quite human.

As in alot of Egyptian and Ancient myths Aliens actually helped to shape their culture, Temples and Hyrogliphics ect.

Overall i think this is the greatest show i have ever had the pleasure to watch and am sad it has finally come to an end, i just loved it.

:D

Mate I've watched and generally enjoyed every episode, it's just that as far as the finale is concerned I think we've been given a box of horse droppings with the expectation that we'll assume there must be a pony out there somewhere.

Anyway, I move on, just DL'd final two hours of the last ever 24, doubt if Jack will leave us wondering "what's it all about"  :D
