Part of me feels totally cheated, other half thinks it was totally awsome, all of me is tired lol

Still more questions than answers though

total joke mate, they got so deep into stuff and just took the easy out. still dont know nothing about the island.

but isnt that brilliant as well?

I dont wanna discuss it on here in case it ruins for someone who aint seen it, but they should just stay out of here right?

I think if it had ended two years ago it would have been better, but as they did not they just gave us stuff that we have now been left thinking why.....annd the bad this about that is i think they dont know who to do it, so that gave us that ending this morning.....and it sucks a bit.

The more I think about it though the more I love the ending, and I actually want to watch the whole thing again.
It was a bit of a cheat, but then again it did all make sense, and there are more questions about the Island and some of the other characters

Just watched it. Started brilliantly, not sure about the last 20 minutes. I'd say anyone reading this thread will have watched it, if they haven't dont read this post.

So it was purgatory after all that? ??? Quite surprised about that, it seemed too easy. Anyways I think Dawson said it, feel a bit low but also I think the show was brilliant overall. I'm glad they've left questions, it wouldn't have made sense to try and answer everything. I need to think about it a bit and maybe watch it again as I'm still not entirely clear, but then I suspect we never will be.

No Walt? Thought he may have appeared.

Best tv show ever made imo.

The other thing that f'ucked me up was sky had the sky+ times wrong. It said there was 20 minutes left at the end. It felt like the end so I couldn't believe there was more to come but if was a bit of a balls as i was checking how much was left all the way through.

Spoiler Alert............... (that means I might say something that will put some vinegar on your anticipation, change threads now)

Meanwhile.................................................................

What aload of sh'ite, the writers need to be taken out and shot.

It was all a dream from the not yet crossed over "Doc"  ? , whats the story? the writers have dug themselves into a tale that even they can't explain ? so fu'ck it. Absolute cop out. Could swear I've seen it all before in "Dallas".

Total bollox, the series and it's fans deserved better.

Am I right in saying that the purgatory bit was the alternative reality, they actually went through the island stuff and some of them got off the island while some died. They then all accumulate in purgatory until the last one of them dies (ie. all the ones who mean the most to each other) then they 'pass over' together??

Yeah, sounds about right. Ben wasnt ready yet, neither was Ana Lucia. I dont know why others like Walt and Ecko didnt go, maybe they went to hell?

There is alot unanswered but i think now that ive had some time to soak it in that they ended it superbly, and im gutted its finished now

Actor who played Eko didn't want to return to the show, simple as that

Should have known I would come on here and loads of you would be moaning haha that's all that happens on here, I thought it was decent

The whole story was about the characters journeys more than the mysteries of the island itself, we saw exactly what each of them went through

The island happened, that was real, jack died at the end, others may have survived into old age, hurley and ben probably ran the island for many years after the last eps events. But in the end they were all going to meet up in purgatory after they each died before moving on

Didn't get any big answers, a lot is left up to your own interpretation but I thought it was a nice artistic end. I will be watching it again later to fully appreciate it all

ok, Ecko didnt wanna return, what about: Walt, his son, a few others. They had the money to bring them back. The ones who did bad went to hell, thats how i see it.

My main question remaining is, who was Jacks son then?
wait, i answered it lol

It was never going to all fit perfectly into place, how could it, it was so complex after 6 series. They did mystery well though and it finished strongly enough.

Yeah, or perhaps they weren't ready yet like ben and ana lucia, and they just didnt turn up

My guess would be Jack created his son in his mind, he never existed, that's what he chose to make himself in the afterlife sort of thing for some reason

Maybe it was to do with Christian Shepherd being a bad father to Jack, perhaps he wanted to prove he could be a better father, but I don't know I'm just speculating now

Jack seemed to find redemption from fixing locke, he said something along the lines of "fixing you would make me happy" maybe he was finally ready to move on then

They all seem to have had changes in their little alternate lives, sawyer was a cop etc. None of it was ever real though. In the end they had to redeem themselves and face their own demons so they were ready to move on and realise they were dead etc. A lot of the on island activity seemed to be about redemption too

Yeah, like Desmond wanted money for his missus, so he was madly succesful, Sayid thought he was bad, but hurley told him he was a good person. the more you look into it the better then ending was
