I think he is on about £80k per week or £4million per year with us, but I could be way off (I could be thinking of Carra :D  ) If we get £17.5million for him I think its a good deal !

Is that after taxes? I believe one of our advantage in negotiations is this tax thingy. We tell players that look you will make the same amount as in ... but all of them will be in your pocket.

17,5 million pounds is a lot of money. We are really spending a bit this season. Considering we paid about 15 million EURO to Guiza. These are big numbers for FB. May be not for you, you Abramovic type/TV Broadcast funded rich spoiled brats. :D :D  Ok ok I know, bad joke. I am ready to be burned... :p

Yep, I heard that as well. Where did you hear it from? Is your source reliable?

If Aragones is at Fenerbahce then that could easily sway Xabi

Im not very pleased about this I thought he would stay.

I think losing him and Crouch could end up very costly.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

From Fenerbahçe official forum ANTU:;):
There are so many rumors about Xabi transfer in this forum. Some rumors says pre-contract was already signed and the official declaration is waiting for the foreign player limit in Turkiye.
Fenerbahçe's player Mateja Kezman is also negotiating with PSG. I believe when Kezman shake hands with PSG, Xabi Alonso will be declared as a Fenerbahçe player...

Too much in this for there not to be some substance. Didn't really treat the rumour with much credence until the Aragones thing was thrown into the equation. It's now starting to look/sound real.

A loss but if this is the deal that means we can get the deals for Keane and Barry then I would have to agree that it's a good deal ... for LFC.

Just a thought. I wonder what kind of reception you'd have got if you had suggested three months ago that Alonso would end up at Fenerbace ???

Not showing any pics bud. I don't see the need.

I do agree that TR football is more boring that EPL. But our CL teams are not as weak as they are boring. Especially Fenerbahce is on a good track. Definitely a team that could hurt if you underestimate. Anyway, this is LFC forum, I am not justifying anything... :)

But your response to Bigmick and his reaction to Mauexa is what you reacted to. I cant abide hypocrisy or nitpicking, some would say they are very much the same.

But you pulled me up for an mistake so surely by your own words you are guilty of both nitpicking and hipocrisy. :D

:D  very good, but no, I thought you was introducing a "new" word, you know like the young folks introduce like "Chillax"

That goes right through me, they have taken a word like "Chill" which means cool, so when someone goes on a rant your more likely to hear "Chill, its not a problem" but then some @ss hole decide to add the word "Relax" which means, be at peace, have a break a rest, dont worry about things and created the word "Chillax"   Seriously if you are going to invent words then invent a word which can be a pleasant sounding insult rather than two words which are more or less meaning the same thing. How about "Tweetard" or "Queermonger" im losing myself now, I will stop.....im sounding like a "Knastard" !

Fenerbace says it all really.

Thats probably because that only a few members on here regard him as this world class footballer, who ANY team would need.

Fact of the matter is, out there in the real world he isnt considered what a few on here class as undroppable, world class and all the other nonsense the gets banded around.

Fenehbahce  :no

He is a good player, but cant be that good if Fenehbahce is the only team seriously interested.

Says it all.

To be fair there isnt that many clubs with 15m+ to spend on one player and the one that do seem to have other targets, that said its been a very slow window all round.
