I have no partuicluar objections per se (he says before someone puts a fatuah out on him) bit its just that it's a Liverpool foirum and its kind of been done before.

Allied to that is th inevitable descent into the "wait until you come to hell" insults. Before long, you've got people posting up Youtube clips of various "crews" and "firms" from some deprived backwater of the Mediterranean and it all gets a bit silly. Then we draw you in the first group stage of the Champions League, and in the away leg somebody lets off a flare, lots of people whistle, it's a boring game and we win 1-0. It's really not worth getting over excited about in my experience.

Ahahah :D You really thought you actually gave a smart answer, didn't you? In your puny little cyber world you thought you burned some opponent team fan with a "witty?" answer. First things first, learn how to speak your own language.

kind of been done before -> kind HAVE been done before

My post is riddled with spelling and gramatical errors, they pretty much always are. Unfortunately you've managed to highlight one of the bits which is actually correct.

Never mind though, I take the point. It's not your first language and all that, and it's fair to say that your English is quite a bit better than my Turkish (unless of course we stray into the realms of Doner Kebabs, which is a subject that I do have quite a bit of expertese in, even if I do say so myself).

Anyhow, I understand your frustration, sorry if I offended you, and I take on board the fact that you don't support Besiktas. It is though a fact that we have had many Turkish fans on here in the past, and without any memorable exceptions they have been a total pain in the erse. If in fact you aren't one of those, then my humble apologies. Obviously if in fact you are one of those, then b0ll0cks to you :D

Its simply nitpicking.

kind of been done before -> kind HAVE been done before

Or should be Its kind HAS been done before.

I wouldnt apologise mick, Turkish football is boring, only the turks watch it ! and if he is trying to justify showing turk pictures on a LFC forum, sod off, were not interested. If your offended then take your sensitive soul to your own forum.

@ Bigmick

Apologies are well accepted. We both know very well how TR fans are with their "forum bashing" style usually starting about a week or so before the match. I should be the one to apologize on behalf of all of them. I guess being an underdog against top EPL teams causes all this frustrating nonsense. I also apologize for offending you. I am a pro athlete myself and my competitive spirit came up a little I guess.

Having said that, being a Fenerbahce fan I am looking forward to CL games this year. Having signed Aragones, Guiza, and hoping to sign Xabi, we will try to give better run for Chelsea's money this year.

Cheers!

@ Kharhaz

Not showing any pics bud. I don't see the need.

I do agree that TR football is more boring that EPL. But our CL teams are not as weak as they are boring. Especially Fenerbahce is on a good track. Definitely a team that could hurt if you underestimate. Anyway, this is LFC forum, I am not justifying anything... :)

But your response to Bigmick and his reaction to Mauexa is what you reacted to. I cant abide hypocrisy or nitpicking, some would say they are very much the same.

Are you suggesting I was being hypercritical by saying nitpicking? If so, yes, I was a little. Tit for tat, I thought. Isn't everyone in these forums a little carping? Isn't the forums are kind of all about?

Then again I have nothing personal against anyone.

No!! any newkit language learner knows that when you've been in a situation before you can say "been there, done that"

Don't take too seriously the jokes of this forum, which are more aimed to laugh on past experiences in the forum rather than to insult Fenerbahce (we really had some peculiar fans around here).

Aragones is very cheeky if he plans to buy Alonso after picking Senna first in Austria, Senna is a cheaper player.

As some people have already mentioned that would be a step lower for Alonso. Not because Fenerbahce is cráp but because Spanish football is elitist, Alonso would keep his international status in Liverpool even under heavy rotation, where as he'd probably lose his international status if he played regularly and much success in Fenerbahce.

That's the way it works.

No Biggie!  :)

I dont agree with Xabi not keeping his international status though. Yes, EPL is more of an arena for national team coaches, but if he signs with FB he will be alongside other internationals including Alex, Edu, Lugano, Guiza and his coach is Arangones.

In fact, wouldnt he be more of a starter in the national team, if he plays in a less competitive league and be more of a star/phenomenon?

Walkalone , take a look at the rest of the threads on the forum and see why we get slightly p!ssed off when your fellow countrymen come on here and start posting in Turkish and completely spam the board . This is only a rumour about alonso for gods sake , imagine what it's like when we draw a turkish team in the champions league. :veryangry

@ Igor Zidane

I know exactly why you get (I didnt know this was word was censor worthy) off. In fact I get more p!ssed off than you guys when I see that kind of nonsense. It not only hurts the team, but the country as well. Trust me, myself and a lot of other "normal" people are giving them a piece of our mind on our/their own forums. I only wish that it would stop.

Fair enough lash , anyway if Xabi is going to fenebache (the rumour seems to be gathering some momentum) you will have one classy player in your midfield and we will be worse off for it imo.

The last thing I heard about this transfer is that FB agreed with LFC about the price, and FB agreed with Alonso about annual wages. They are trying to agree on the "personal requirements" that Xabi has. Xabi submitted his and today we submitted the counter offer today. It is a waiting game I guess. Can anyone get any rumors from reliable sources?

Says here that Alonso has indeed agreed personal terms

@Saint

That newspaper is horrendous about news. They have no reliable sources and they cannot back anything up. They are the least respected paper in TR. This transfer season so far they have transferred FB Shevchenko, Ronaldinho, W. Love, Eto'o, Adriano, Ronaldo, Van Nistelrooy....etc. This list goes on. Their news strategy goes like this; they mention all possible names in the paper and when FB transfers one, they claim "Told you so!" :D :D :D
