Southampton v LIVERPOOL Fri 5th April 8.00pm KO

Liverpool Football Club - Games

Postby woof woof ! » Fri Apr 05, 2019 5:36 pm

On paper we should be winning this one BUT we shouldn't forget that Southampton with half a dozen games to go will be gagging to move further away from the "drop zone" (currently 5 points clear).

Recently they've had an upturn in form which is a concern.

We should win it but we're gonna have to be right on our game if we want to come away with all the points.

Mixed feeling on this one, Feeling fairly confident about a  win for our ladss  :buttrock

Provided we don't lose concentration and slip up on a banana skin   :(

You can cut the tension with a knife in the title race right now.

Should win this but, you never know it could be one of those games when the ball just won't go in for us.

Hope not.

Last 4 games they have beaten Spurs, Brighton and Fulham and lost 3-2 at Old Trafford so they are playing well atm, in fact since their new manager has come in the are 8th in the form table.
Hope Fabinho starts.

This is the last PL game I'm really worried about. I think we'll win our last 5 but I think this game might be tight with no more than 1 goal in it. It might be another hard fought win or dropped points. Hopefully I'm completely wrong and it's a comfortable win. I don't think my heart will hold out until the end of the season if the result of every game is on a knife edge!

Liverpool: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson, Fabinho, Wijnaldum, Keita, Mane, Salah, Firmino.

Subs: Mignolet, Lovren, Milner, Henderson, Moreno, Shaqiri, Origi.

At last a MF with a bit of attacking bite! This should be our preferred MF trio next season for sure imo.

I like the look of that MF, hopefully it plays well so Jurgen sticks with it.

Time Keita stepped up big game for him personally and probably didn't expect it. Needs to be near perfect and hopefully will be. Saints will be focusing on Mane for several reasons, maybe open things up for Salah get him back amongst the goals. Must win, again.

Good move for the midfield, no more dicking around with Hendo and Milner from now on hopefully.

Damn, this is gonna be a tough match, hopefully the players know that and give their all.

Confusing message sent out by our manager. One minute he doesn't fancy Keita, the next he does!?? WTF!?

Last game it was Milner and Hendo, then the next it's Fabinho and Keita. Why??

I hope the boss knows what he's doing

Slightly surprised at the midfield selection. Keita has been out of favour recently and I just hope he has shown in training that he is fit and ready for the fight. I wonder if Klopp will revert to the press and go all out attack. Klopp must be mentally fkd after the Spurs game - I know I am. Let’s put the game away in the first half and keep the defibrillators in the box

Considering we have more points after 32 games than we've ever had in 100+ years of existing as a football club I would say he generally does.
