Should  be at least 1 up after that half. Need to crack it up at the start of the second and hope we can make a breakthrough.

Unbelievable how we aren’t at least a couple of goals up, Bobby in particular has to put away one of his two chances. Bar putting it in the onion bag we are playing quite well though.

Its got 0-0 writen all over it, they're not good enough to score and our lads aren't hungry enough.

Has to be in the bag now. Get Keita on and give him a few minutes.

Nice to see us finally playing with a bit of confidence. Would like to see Kieta getting some gametime

The losing streak is broken. Thank Feck.

We should have hit 4 or 5 today. But 2 goals and a clean sheet is good enough.

Fabinho should be back for Thursday's game with Chelsea. And apparently Jotta is also fit (but out today with a bug).

That means we could be back into the top 4 before the weekend.

That’s a big win, to have slipped up against the bottom club when 4 of the 5 teams above us dropped points would have a proper kick in the teeth.

Jones got man of the match and dedicated his goal (and MotM) award to Ali, which was a nice touch.

Watching Phillips dominate nearly ariel ball makes you question why we didn't use him more during this run of bad form. Teams have been bullying our back line and just throwing longballs over to make us uncomfortable. I think United played Mcburnie/Mcgoldric to bully us but Phillips and Kabak stood up to the challange.

Be nice to see Naby on a more regular basis.. He's got the ability to open up play with his tight dribbling.

Nice to get a win  :buttrock

Not a bad performance but we really do need a bit of fine tuning up front. Bobby's goal was going wide and apparently he wont get it. We just have to many hit and hope moments in front of goal and in games with few chances we need to make them count. Not taking it away from their keeper but he would be expected to save the ones he did.

Good game from Jones, Thiago and Mo tonight. Adrian held up well but he cant play that tippy tappy stuff.  Keita and Milner back with Fab and Jota close for the Chelsea game.

Chuffed that we put an end to that horrid run...

Big game vs Chelsea now. Hope Jota can hit the ground running.

Maybe Bobby’s goal getting deflected in might signal a change of fortune for us, Lord knows we’ve had the kitchen sink thrown at us this season in terms of bad luck. Apparently there were even rumours on Twitter tonight that Jota had appendicitis  :oh: but Jurgen said after the game that he should be fit for Thursday.
With this win and the likes of Fab, Jota, Naby and Milner coming back, things are starting to look up.
It’s no doubt going to be tough with a makeshift backline against Pulisic, Werner et al on Thursday but if we could somehow dig out the win plus with Fulham to come on Sunday we’d really be carrying a lot of momentum into the last 10 games.

Thank gawd for that. Absolutely dire opposition but you can only beat what is put in front of you. Once again our front three failed to excite. Bobby has been off it for so long and more recently Sadio has joined him. Hopefully the imminent return of several key players will shake things up.
