Liverpool Football Club - Games

Postby ycsatbjywtbiastkamb » Fri Mar 01, 2024 2:04 pm

With City playing United on Sunday and Arsenal not playing until Monday night this game tomorrow is another chance for us to put a little bit of scoreboard pressure on both of our rivals.
Problem is the City Ground is a place we haven’t won at in the premier league era and given they are fighting for their lives especially now Everton have got some points back and given our injury list winning there is not a given.
Let’s hope we get some players back. Come on you reds.

Sky Sports News are reporting that Nunez and Dom both trained today and are in contention for tomorrow. Apparently Mo misses out though.

No disrespect to Notts Forest - they are 17th in the PL...we simply cannot afford to drop any points against potential relegation fodder.

We should have Nunez and Szoboslai for at least the second half (or a part thereof). That is a major boost both in MF and attack.

If we can get 3 points and the other two PL contenders drop a point or 3 then we really are in a good place.

MacAllister and Robbo on the other hand are ill and doubtful. Endo is also doubtful.

Good news about the lads coming  back from injury.

Not sure I'd risk all of them to start with the city game next.

Liverpool team news
Team to face Nottingham Forest: Kelleher, Gomez, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson, Bradley, Clark, Mac Allister, Elliot, Diaz, Gakpo.

Subs: Adrian, Endo, Szoboszlai, Nunez, Tsimikas, McConnell, Koumas, Danns, Quansah.

Endo, Szob and Nunez on the bench..hopefully we only need to give them minutes rather than look to them for a winning goal.

Back 5 looks really solid even in the absence of Trent and Alli.

Without stating the bleedin obvious we definitely need to win this. Every game is a cup final. The chances of Arsenal or City dropping points this weekend is negligible. Great to see some key players coming back after injury

Only listening to LFC TV’s commentary but it sounds like we are struggling a bit to break them down. Hope Jurgen doesn’t leave it too late before making changes, got to give the lads coming off the bench a chance to make an impact

Not seeing a goal here we hardly threaten...maybe from a set piece or something?

So...on come Darwin

Type of game that happens when they come down from the adrenaline of two cup games and playing a bottom 3 team. We need to be careful we don't get hit by the sucker punch.
