Liverpool Football Club - Games

Jota being assessed but otherwise same side vs Spurs I guess.
We have to keep plugging away now and aim to seal 5th. We win and we go 5pts clear of Spurs.

3-0 to the Redmen.

Can't see Diaz starting twice in 4 days straight after returning from injury and going by Klopp's comments in the press conference wouldn't be surprised if Jota is only fit enough for the bench. So might see Nunez on the left. Expect Matip comes in for Konate and Henderson for Elliott. Quick turnaround for this one but the same for Fulham who have also lost key players in Ream and Pereira. Think Klopp might even be tempted to change a couple more especially with Brentford on Saturday being another quick turnaround plus them not having a game midweek. Maybe this.

                          Alisson

Trent          Matip          van Djik          Robbo

      Hendo          Fabinho          Jones

         Salah          Gakpo          Nunez

Tsimikas is in for Robbo and both Diaz and Nunez start. Hope to see Carvalho get a decent bit of time against his old club as well.

Liverpool team news

Team to play Fulham: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Tsimikas; Fabinho, Jones, Henderson; Salah, Nunez, Diaz

Subs: Kelleher, Gomez, Milner, Gakpo, Jota, Robertson, Carvalho, Matip, Elliott

Fulham team news - Soares, Lukic, Cairney all start

Team to play Liverpool: Leno, Soares, Tosin, Diop, Robinson, Palhinha, Lukic, Wilson, Cairney, Willian, Vinicius

Subs: Rodak, Duffy, Kebano, Tete, Solomon, James, Decordova-Reid, Reed, Harris

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Looking forward to see Salah, Nunez and Diaz uptop. I wouldn't be surprised if we are 3-0 up by 30 mins and then let 2 goals in the second half to make it edgy again.

Come on Nunez, prove me wrong and bag a few goals. We need you to step up and show us what you're made of

Looking at Trent playing both right back and midfield and pretty much being the only creative player in our side, we might as well go for a new right back in the summer and move Trent in midfield permanently.

Excellent penalty from Mo. No doubt the resident loony will say he was lucky it didn’t go over the bar

Think a few of us have been asking for Trent to be moved into midfield for years. However, I think the new position he is playing is a really good compromise.

I think the idea of this formation is that it gives you the extra man in the middle of the park (4 instead of 3).

Trents looking brilliant in midfield.. he's controlling games and looking so comfortable. It's been a stinker for Darwin tonight! Everything has bounced off of him, his touch has been poor, and his passing dreadful.

5 wins in a row. We looked a little leggy in the 2nd half with tired looking passes and tired attempts to stop/track players. Tight turnaround for Brentford too so that could prove to be a tricky game.

Having Jones back in midfield has made such a difference as he offers genuine pressing and he can make the ball stick when under pressure. Tough night for Nunez who looks real low on confidence.
