LIVERPOOL v Barcelona Tue 7th May 8.00pm KO

Liverpool Football Club - Games

Too soon For Brewster this. The lad has never seen first team action, and throwing him straight into a Champions League Semi final showdown under high intensity?

It's and Idiotic suggestion I'm afraid.

The occasion is probably too much for Origi and Studge to handle.  :help

I personally think there's more chance of Lord Nelson getting his eye back, than us winning this.

But I'll be cheering on regardless, Come on you reds, let's do this  :buttrock

Too many things stacked against us to go through tonight but just want the lads to go out and and try to win over the 90 mins. Really proud of this team and Klopp regardless of what happens tonight and Sunday.

Just try and enjoy it hopefully we get a couple and make it interesting but lack of an away goal probably be the deciding factor.

Like to see Brewster given a shot tonight at some point.

Least go out with heads held high if we are as expected eliminated.

I feel absolutely deflated, can barely bring myself to watch the game tbh. Probably lost the PL even though we'll finish the campaing with 94+ points, were pretty unlucky to lose 3-0 from Barca in the semis, and on top of that, we won't have two of our main forwards for this game. Feels like the universe is against us sometimes

It's been an amazing season but I can't say I've enjoyed it and won't remember it for good unfortunately.

Anyway, the team for today:

Liverpool: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson, Henderson, Fabinho, Milner, Shaqiri, Mane, Origi.

Subs: Mignolet, Wijnaldum, Lovren, Gomez, Sturridge, Brewster, Woodburn.

Can't say I'm too impressed with the line up, Henderson and Milner in MF? Milner was anonymous last week though admittedly the Nou Cap was a big pitch for a 30 something to get around, don't get me wrong Milner is a fit lad but he's like an economical car stuck in first gear, he'll run forever but only at one pace. Maybe the tighter confines of Anfield will suit him tonight, let's hope so.
If we had our best XI out I'd actually fancy us to turn this around, this Barca team aren't that good, the scoreline last week flattered them big time. These can be rattled and if we get an early goal who knows even this team might do it.
Come on lads this isnt the Nou Camp this is our home now, there are peoples ashes spread on this pitch, let's show this crowd why we are called the comeback kings of Europe.
