First half wasn’t bad, second half descended into farce with VAR at the heart of the carry on one again. Normally when you see 10 minutes injury time you think there has been a bad clash of heads or a player has had to go to hospital or something, where the hell did those 10 minutes come from?

Good experience for Kelleher, Rhy Williams, Clarkson and Koumetio. Valuable minutes for Trent and Keita after injury. And an opportunity for Origi, Minamino and Tsimikas to get some game time but shame the Greek picked up a knock heading into a period where we might need to use him to keep Robertson fresh. Wasn't expecting Fabinho, Jota and Salah to start but I guess Klopp wanted the team to be competitive and options were limited if you consider who is actually eligible and fit. Thought Rhy Williams was the standout from the youngsters while Koumetio looked a little lost coming on in the second half.

We've topped the group quite comfortably in the end. Draw is on Monday and we'll be paired with one of the below teams. Wouldn't mind Porto again!

Atletico Madrid
Borussia Monchengladbach
FC Porto
Sevilla
SS Lazio
FC Barcelona
RB Leipzig

Var is just as pathetic in Europe as it is at home....

Worse imo, ours is bad but at least they come to the wrong decision fairly quickly, it took an age the other night.
Jurgen even mentioned it in his prezza the other day saying it took so long he’s was worried about players getting cold (and becoming more susceptible to injury). He even said knowing what he knows now if the clock could be turned back he would be against the introduction of VAR.

Sh1t game made more sh1t by VAR. Still totally bewildered by the players that JK used. Real opportunity to rest some of the top lads. Instead we use everybody and Jota gets injured. Wonderful !!!  :help
