Seriously, did anybody else notice we were given an offside call on a goal kick? You can't be called offside on a goal kick... The ref doesn't know the rules.

Does any referee know the rules? It's all open to 'interpretation' anyway.

That's like saying it's open for interpretation whether the ref has to stop play when the ball has gone out of bounds.. The only interpretation was whether he was in an offside position.  He was, but it was a goal kick so it's not relevant.  It doesn't matter where he stand on a goal kick.

He'll know how we play, we play the same stuff game in and game out, we only seem to have a Plan A.

I think Kenny summed it up against Villa post match regarding a penalty Liverpool should have been given:

"When the referee says he thought the lad was a bit unlucky, what chance do we have?"

Andy Carroll seems to make a more effective defender than he does attacker.
