Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

people keep banding names about as a possible new striker we should sign. i would personally would go for zlatan ibrahimovic. he's 22 years old and pure class. he's also going to have to leave ajax to advance his career.

watch this goal

once you've clicked on the link, scroll down and click on the bit that says "scoringen here". it's one of the best goals i've ever seen.

what do you think of the guy as a player?

decent player not sure if he's what we need though i think if we are to buy another striker we should sign a more creative forward, meaning a forward who creates for others as well as scores

Great link St. Mike.
Got to say I think this guy is a fantastic player - he can score and create goals, and for such a big guy he has so much skill. The only problem is whether we could afford him. But generally if we could get him Rafa should snap him up cause he is completley different from the current forwards at the club.

He's a decent player and i had not thought of him, it would be a good move for him to advance himself. On the subjct of new strikers if anyone saw the recent under 21 championships usually on at about 2am on Channel 5 did you see the swedish forward Johan Ellmander he looked a good player, two good feet, strong in the air, exellent close control and finishing , "the next Larsen", also a player who would be willing to sit on the bench and wait 4 his chance, i doubt Ibrahimovic would do the same. :)

He`s got the talent but I`m not sure of his attitude ??? His appearance last week for the Sweadish-International was close to horrible; He is being accused of completely loosing his head, deliberately injuring players and constantly arguing with both the ref and opponant players.

I've seen him before playing for club and country, yeah I think he's quality, would bring a bit of character into the team as well. It all depends what price we can get him for though.

Good player, but his big ego and his hot head makes him a no-go.

I thought he was going to hit it after the first touch. Phenomenal skill to weave around that many defenders in pretty much no space.

For all that, I think that any player with question marks against their temperament aren't exactly the best solution when they're going to be warming the bench for a large portion of the season.
