off and has an amazing engine but he's so much more than that. Since the second half of last season his link up play and understanding with Torres and Gerrard has been first rate. He's constantly making runs to take defenders out of position and create space for others. He's scored numerous critical goals this season starting with his extra time contribution against Standard Liege. He wins more possession than any other attacking player I've ever seen either with a well timed tackle or through not letting them settle on the ball. This pressing game has been key to Liverpools success and Kuyt and Mascherano do it best.
