We need to forget this one and move on because we can't change it now. They :censored: up but beating chelsea might lift the team lets just stay positive for now it's been a long time since we where under so much  media coverage about winning the league they just need us to be on there side and not give up on them yet.

Unbelievable.....another draw. Lucas committed a foul = as expected. Babel = useless as usual. The Gaffer = .................... (fill in the blanks).

I m really disappointed with our performance once again...very conservative...trying to hang on a 1-0 lead...it may be a good strategy against stronger team....but we are against wigan yesterday nite...come on!! Rafa is definitely too conservative. But our performance last nite was just bad. did we try to play football in 2nd half before the penalty? I cannot remember any good attack from us in the whole 2nd half.

Benayoun sub is strange. Obviously Bena is our dangerous man last nite. He is the only lively player last nite.
Lucas, what can i say...definitely stupid tackle...cost us 2 pts...

Overall i think despite rafa's negative tactic, we should have bagged the 3 pts, only for Lucas moment of senseless ruin our plan. This is a costly mistake and we should not rely on lucas again.

Let's stay positive, we are ony 5 pts behind MU. not that bad everybody.

Terrible result, like too many before another draw!
The usual execution of Benitez is to be expected but regardless of how it looks for the title now, some posters should really take a look at themselves...some of the comments about the manager are borderline hatred, and thats bang out of order!

Personally I blame the players as much as the manager on last nights draw as I do for most of the draws we have had.It was the same old story. We controlled the game and our keeper had virtually nothing to do all night but just could not get the 2nd goal.I think the subs were bizarre but if a manager has players on the pitch that are not doing it after 70 mins,he has to pull them off and try other options.Sometimes it works and other times it does'nt.Taking Gerrard of was wrong IMO but had Keane had scored the winner it would have been a master stroke.

Theres something missing though from our players as a unit, the passion and hunger is just not there.Thats 7 draws in our last 10 League games.Im sorry but even the most optimistic of supporters would admit that this is not the form of title winners.Regardless of whats happening around us its just miles off good enough.
So UTD are 2 clear with a game in hand.Playing the way we are I just cant see us catching them and I doubt we will! :(

And as I've said before on many occasions, I don't get why Stevie G is NOT kicking lumps out of Babel and other lazy, uncommitted to$$ers on his own team. Again, not that I'm blaming SG either.
But, and it's a big, big BUT....if it's plain to see for every impartial viewer that Rafa needs his head examined for his ridiculous approach to winning the league, that the players he selects time and time again just do not have the attitude to win at all costs, then you would expect a leader "ON" the pitch to have his say in no uncertain terms, wouldn't you ?

Gerrard was no better than Babel today.  He was misplacing passes all game long.  It's amazing how so many have their own scapegoats, after a poor result.

It's simply the same story, the may as well state in their signature that Babel, Kuyt, Keane, Lucas, Dossena, or whoever they choose to dislike, aren't good enough and will be blamed in any poor result.

I have to ask what Rafa thinks he is playing at. His starting XI missing Alonso, unless he's injured or, I believe, he is on four yellows and Rafa is worried about suspension or something. Are Lucas, Benayoun and Babel really in our best XI? OK Benayoun did play well at times, he is capable of having good games, but he cost us a point against Everton with an unnecessary foul/free kick and Lucas gave away a penalty last night. That said we shouldn't be defending 1-0 leads, we should be 2-0 or 3-0 up, but with Rafa chopping, changing and the side incapable of scoring more than one in the last four games, we are going to struggle.

I think we could still win the league, I'm beginning to think the best way is to sack Rafa and bring someone in with a bit more tactical acumen before we fall too far behind. Bruce brings on Koumas (wins the penalty), Rodallega (hits the woodwork) and who does Rafa bring on? Riera for TORRES, KUYT for Benayoun and then Keane for GERRARD with little time to do anything. I think that's 2-0 to Bruce on the substitutions front, when did we last bring someone on who made a difference? Anyone know when Rafa last made a change before the 60th minute?

Who was it saying it was games against the 'big four' that would decide the title? We've dropped EIGHTEEN points through draws in the league, that's as many points as you can get if you win ALL the games against Chelsea, Arsenal and Man Utd. One of those draws was against one of the big four, but can anyone see us not drawing another game in our last 12 against the 'lesser' sides - the ones we can't seem to beat

Results By League Position

01-05 : P4 W2 D2 L0 PTS 8/12
06-10 : P7 W3 D4 L0 PTS 13/21
11-15 : P6 W4 D1 L1 PTS 13/18
16-20 : P6 W4 D2 L0 PTS 14/18

You expect to drop points to the top four or five, that isn't our problem. It's that we are dropping points to almost any side that stops us scoring more than one goal

0 goals : P5 W0 D5 L0 PTS 5/15
1 goal : P7 W3 D3 L1 PTS 12/21
2 goals : P5 W4 D1 L0 PTS 13/15
3+ goals : P6 W6 D0 L0 PTS 18/18

10 wins out of 11 when we score twice, unfortunately we've now scored less than two goals in over half our league games. EIGHT of our nine draws have been 0-0 or 1-1 - ten of our 13 draws last season were 0-0 or 1-1. Same problem, same lack of a solution. Oh, sorry, I forgot we bought a striker for £20.3m and Rafa barely uses him in any capacity whatsoever now. Keane has played just 75 mins in the last four games (68 in one game), none of which we have won. He played 74 mins against Preston, nearly as long in one game as in Liverpool's last four. While he may not be a perfect solution and maybe not good enough to start, when you're not winning you try things - unless you are Rafa who probably thinks he's a tactical genius and it's the players not playing as they do in his mind using his systems and strategies

I actually think that under the circumstances the reaction of most people has been fairly rational. If anything, there has probably been a slight over-reaction by some of the posters who have previously backed Rafa, but I suppose that is natural when they decide to finally voice some concerns. Under the circumstances, neither the result nor the performance can have been the biggest shock in the World to anybody so it oughtn't to be freaking anybody out too much.

The team was a bit sylee but we have seen worse in the past, while the subs were out right of left field as well but once again it's not the first time. There certainly wasn't any Peter Crouch on the left wing, or Steven Gerrard left wing, or Bolo Zenden central midfield away to Arsenal, or Robbie Keane dropped after scoring two goals in the previous game or any of that stuff. It was probably more just a question of it being the straw whioch broke the camels back for many people, but under the circumstances it was one of the calmest after match boards I've seen.

Normally it kicks off everywhere as a bunch of people try and dampen down any criticism of the manager. Last night they either changed sides or didn't show up so there was nobody to argue with  :)

Im gutted mick absoluty gutted deja vu of Houlliers last days in charge, when that banner said enough is enough to many expensive mistakes I think another maybe on show soon but with rafas name on it instead of geds.

Its looking like its end game and he will have been the creator of his own downfall.

we havent won a game since his rant.

There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.
