Personally I'd love to see Duff and Gallas come in, I don't want Veron is a moaning disruptive b*stard. We have a good cahnce with Duff as the have he PSV winger Robben coming in the only problem would be where to ply Duff we already have HK. Gallas is just the kind of centre half we need, big strong quick and is still only young.

Cole would be a good buy for around £4m, and Gallas

I'd opt for Duff.  I know he misses games with injury but Kewell tends to as well.  If we had both players in the squad it would mean we should be guaranteed to have a top class left winger in the side for every game (one or the other) provided both aren't injured at the same time.

Also, if Chelsea are stupid enough not to satisfy Lampards contract demands i'd love if we pounced for him.

Joe Cole.  Without a doubt.

At a push.....Jesper Gronkjaer, bit iffy though.  I think he could do a job for us.

this is what mourihno said at his first press conference:

"I hate big squads. I want 21 outfield players plus goalkeepers. I work with small squads for very specific work. Players don't win trophies - squads win trophies."

so this would mean that there must be a clear out at stamford bridge and i fear for a lot of the english players. i'd take joe cole definitely and possibly wayne bridge and damien duff if available. i can't see gallas leaving to be honest.

Wayne Bridge would definitely be a good buy.  My only concern is that the clear out at Chelsea will begin before we have put a manager in place.

can you seriously see mourihno playing joe cole when they have lampard, makelele, parker, geremi? mourihno will probably bring in deco and costinha aswell. he's a bit part player for chelsea, nothing else.

also, i don't understand why they forked out 18m for this robben guy when they have got damien duff.

there are going to be a lot of unhappy players at the bridge. :D

Agreed but its a big squad and I think at the right orice certain players could be available... even those big players. Duff is out until the start of next season and it woulddepend on whether or not any team is willing ot take a chance on him whikle he's injured... he could be available for about 10 - 15 mil

Duff would be a steal at 10-15 mill.  We had an opportunity to buy him in summer 2002 for 15 mill and Houllier rejected it.  Duff went on to have a great world cuo and his value soared.  If Chelsea do have a fire sale they might just let him go at a favourable price.
