Anyone who doesnt see that as a good thing should fu'ck off and support someone else.

City have a quality manager who will prove himself - again wouldn't start writing them off.
Yes we have started well in term of points gained but our performances are far from convincing - we can't continue with the same performances or we will come very unstuck very soon, big improvement is needed. We played well last season with zero pressure and nothing to play for - do that with the pressures of being in the fight for top 4 and then it can become a reality. Kenny had one good half season but it then fell apart - half a seasons got the team nowhere , getting CL form from Jan is meaningless - it needs to be from August through to May. It's four years now without CL and I expect it every season - each season we miss out means it gets harder to get back in.

Well as a Liverpool fan I was brought up to believe that anything less than 1st is unacceptable , there is no success in coming 2nd or below. There is success in winning trophies so I expect the club to try and win every single trophy we go for. Coming 6/7/8th is mediocrity and that's no acceptable , getting knocked out early in the cups is mediocrity and that's not acceptable.
We have never accepted anything less than the best and I hope we don't start now. Not being in the CL is unacceptable.

saying that i think they`ll deffo come back to the pack, under ferguson united were the team to beat, if you finished above united more often than not that meant you won the league, i think united will now be like everyone else, just one of a pack of clubs competing for the top honours/CL places.
re liverpool i like what rodgers is doing, he knows the owners arent giving him the resources to go toe to toe with the other top clubs in the transfer market so he`s trying to bridge that gap by getting absolutely everything out of our squad.
the players are grafting their @rses off, the team spirit is as good as i`ve seen it in decades and the players look like they are playing for each other and more importantly - the shirt.
in the past we went to places like barceona with johan cruyff in their line up and beat them on their own ground because we were a proper team, in other words when 11 players came together they became something much greater than the sum of their individual parts, thats what rodgers is trying to do now.
it`s not easy to get 11 pampered millionaires from all corners of the earth with very little in common to fight for each other and run themselves into the ground for a common cause, brendan looks like he may be doing it.
where ever we finish this season fair dues to brendan for bringing a work ethic and pride back to the shirt.
I'm not writing United off. I said their golden age is over and I stand by it. Things have shifted. Those things we can't quite point to.

You're losing the plot here. First of all, we've not been top for a long time. Time to realise that. Then you emphasise it by saying we only accept the best, but 4th place isn't best. You're so contradictory.
We're rebuilding. There simply is no other way, and if we keep firing managers for not winning the league, well it's a shame that when you grew up with these high expectancies, you didn't adopt any of the other traits such as the majority of us.
You probably think I'm having a go. But your attitude stinks.

Those who were moaning like arl tarts through the transfer window because of the lack of a "marquee" signing are looking pretty foolish now that we are undefeated and on top of the league.

There are more and more rumours coming out about RVP's discontent with Moyes in recent days. If there is even a glimmer of truth to this then I cant see him having a record breaking season or even a similar one to last season or the season before. Its being reported that he is unhappy with training and isn't convinced with the new manager, also stating he misses the old one. Rumours I know but it would explain his lack of capacity to keep his head in both the Chavski game and the one against ourselves where he should have been sent walking.
In our favour we have Freddy Mercury to return and Sturridge is on the crest of a wave since his arrival in Jan. Same could be said about Coutinho, he too has impressed since his new year arrival. When I mentioned earlier about our form since Jan til now being top 4 form is primarily down to the way those 3 players played since that time and in particular the latter two. Form is still form no matter when its occurring, our form has been excellent since that time and the really positive thing for me is we have continued it into this season. The signs are promising when we win 3 in a row and getting one over the mancs in the process is even creamier.
Lots of time to go I know but if we can keep playing the way we are currently we will give our rivals for top 4 a real push. Grinding out one nil wins won Mourinho how many leagues? And winning when we would have lost or drawn those games last season is also a huge positive, proves something is working with new shrink/confidents coach, the same guy who helped inspire British cycling to the very pinnacle of the sport. We are showing more resilience this season and the team seem really together in defending and celebrating goals.
We are heading in the right direction Benny, I have no doubt in my mind about that and we are doing that then praise has to be given to the manager.

That post was major silly I'm afraid. How is Rodgers in the Shankly mode?He hasn't done diddly squat yet for Liverpool.
We're not looking that foolish yet, especially if we lose the next 6 games.![]()
3 games means nothing at all.

I can't recall anyone saying that starting with 3 wins isn't a good thing.
