Good player that will become great under Klopp.

He is one cog in a machine that will have a nice new shiny looking midfield come August (all being well!!)

A really good solid signing, apparently Chelsea tried to hijack the deal at the last minute but Alexis had his heart set on joining us.
Welcome to the best club in the world mate.

Good bit of business and an immediate improvement for the squad.

Apparently humble and introverted, seems like the kind of personality Klopp likes in his team. He looks an intelligent player but less physical. You’d have to say a steal at 40 million. His 88% passing is less than Gini but my bet is he would be more adventurous with his passing. I would assume the other midfielder we get would be more a physical presence to complement him.

It's a good signing and delighted it's done and dusted. He will be a good addition no doubt. Hopefully we follow it up soon with another signing. If the reported 35mil is correct we should be able to bring in at least 2 more around similar prices.

Welcome to the club lad  :buttrock

There are no such thing as guarantees when it comes to transfers but I’ll be genuinely surprised if this lad doesn’t pretty quickly nail down a place in our starting XI.

Welcome to the club.

Looks like an honest and humble lad, as others have said. A hard working and inelligent player, knows the league well and has experience in winnig on the highest level. Definitely a Klopp type of player and I think he'll fit right in. Wouldn't expect any mirracles from him though.

We've given him the number 10 jersey, does that tell us something about his role in our midfield or is it just a number?

I'd expect Mac Allister to be in the starting 11 for the first game of the season. He's already been playing in the PL for three and a half years, speaks English, has signed early in the window so will benefit from a full pre-season with Klopp and his teammates. Other players coming from abroad might be given time to integrate. Personally I'd take the team that went unbeaten for the final 11 games of the season and swap Mac Allister for Henderson.

Mac Allister has been described as a "swiss army" knife of a midfielder. Not the strongest or quickest, but really high footballing IQ and can pretty much perform any function you need him to. Gini was similar in that he was the go to man when there was problem that needed fixing because he was so smart.

Lots of people compare him to Gini but I think he's closer to prime Milner.
